No chance the three scrubs the next inning are gonna do anything so gonna have to be a 1-0 win...just hope AZ keeps shooting themselves in the foot

AZ definitely gets one in the bottom of the 9th imo. Need to pray one of them channels their inner Adolis.

Whatever Dak does or doesn't do won't break my heart honestly.

Although, considering what happened with the 2011 Rangers after the 2011 Mavs championship, it's true DFW sports logic that the Cowboys would lose the Super Bowl this coming year on an epic Atlanta Falcons-level chokejob imo.

Yup, like Nelson Cruz 20 yards too shallow to have a chance at Freese's 2 RBI triple that should have been the third out, and that bizarre zone defense Ron Washington had out there FML...

Welp, I can't say i like the Dodgers or any of the LA sports teams quite frankly, though i'm neutral about the Rams I guess and I don't consider the Chargers an LA team because they're from San Diego. But thank you, regardless. It's appreciated.

Followed the Dodgers because the Missions were a Dodgers farm team for a long time so I got to see guys like Pedro Martinez and Mike Piazza as minor leaguers plus got to watch a couple innings of a game with Sandy Koufax at VJ Keefe field one time when I was a kid and that was a thrill getting to meet a legend like that. Then it was awesome going to Dodger games when I lived in LA for years. Not a hardcore fan who bleeds Dodger colors like mid though like I am with the Spurs. Anyways, congrats man. Gotta feel amazing to avenge 2011. Especially taking down the fucking Astros in their park in Game 7 along the way.

I get it.

Dodgers won in Arlington in '20, so at least you guys got a championship recently, asterisk or not.

At least there were SOME fans... so it actually counts as canonical to me, much more than say, what the LeBeta Lakers "won" in 2020 which felt like mickey mouse in every sense of the term.

I still liked that team outside of the chokey pitching. Liked Josh Hamilton, Napoli, Beltre, etc. Nelson Cruz was ok. The 9th inning zone defense was so mind numbingly stupid, that was a glove-ball all the way from Freese and it was more on Washington than Cruz.

This team wasn't perfect this year either, but they were ultra resilient in the face of so many injuries... bad second half of the season, no home field advantage, perfect road record in the playoffs.

Few thoughts

- Unfortunately a surprisingly lackluster postseason. A few even handful of moments but for reasons yet unknown most series were over quick. 2-LCS Game7s was saving grace

- Thus its nice to have a newcomer to the club at the very end. I grew up seeing the 90s Arlington Rangers as cannon fodder to those great Yankee teams. Juan G, Pudge and Will Clark. Always short on pitching.

Then the franchise picked up steam in the 2000s along with the rest of the AL West.

Losing multiple WS before you finally break thru is my modern Braves journey too. Hell of a lot easier doing it the other way around like Diamondbacks. Blowing Championship series lingers and wears on future teams.

Lasting memory of this Rangers team for me - the long losing streak in August and overall lastluster record near the end of the season, resulting in having the Division stolen. We saw how the Mets responded in 2022 under similiar circumstances. Yet what happened to the Rangers - resilience. In MLB especially, teams lukewarm in the 2nd Half and blowing a Division title very very rarely rally like this. Rangers extremely strong 1st Half proved they weren't a fluke. Cheers to the new World Series champion in the club. :bobo:bang

That's the most impressive out of all of this. Just two months ago, we were talking about how the Rangers were undergoing a historic collapse in August/September where they fell all the way down to third place in the AL West after having a big lead all season. I remember making a comment that there had to have been some internal locker room drama like a teammate being cucked, because it made zero sense that literally everybody sh1t the bed at the same time for almost a month. Any other team would just pack it up and just use this season as a moral victory "Oh well atleast we improved from 2022".

But then to sneak in two weeks later and go 11-0 on the road to a World Series victory has to be one of the greatest coaching achievements in baseball history.

Agreed. Degrom injured and Max almost too. Rangers pen was good but not elite. The defense quality was surprise.

Garcia going out and Tex continuing to win was another surprise.

Until the players duplicate with a 95+ win season, credit seems to fall heavily on Bochy.

I'm old fashioned. Having a bomb ass SS/2B duo that like each other carries the lockeroom. They are so involved in everyother play. Astros, Braves and Phillies have the same.
