Sure… let’s tank for 3 more years, so that Wemby can just force his way out. Great plan.

Flagg won't be draft eligible until 2025 and Boozer 2026 :lol

Also LOL wanting to tank for HS players. Nick Smith was supposed to be the star of the 2023 draft two years before.

We'd better not be getting Flagg or Boozer on our natural draft pick. However, I'd trade several draft picks for the chance to draft them with somebody else's pick.

ATL 2025 pick or ATL 2026 swap might do the trick, and they're already in the bag of our future picks.

Spurs don't need to tank. They will lose a lot of games this year simply because they do not have the experience to close out games. I think they top out at 35 wins if everything goes right. But they will be in the lottery again and they have enough draft capital that they may be able to pick their guy and trade to get that player. They certainly won't use all the draft picks they have to draft players.

The dream would get a guy that is over 6'6 that can handle and play point. Those don't grow on trees, but can you imagine a line up like what we have now, except a great playmaker plays point? That's not to bag on Sochan as he does alright in a role that he is learning on the fly on a position he probably hasn't played in his life.

Let's tank in 2028 to get Nathan Soliman, the next Wembanyama.

Will probably have a legit chance of getting either;
1. Stephon Castle-6’6 PG/SG
2. Tyrese Proctor - 6,5 PG
3. Nikola Topic - 6’6 PG

As far as 25/26 - I am with Estatic I think we got a Great chance to get a very high pick from Chicago and Atlanta

they have both murray and young under contract through those years, which gives them enough of a floor where i dont really see it. now if things go badly and they reset from Trae (which imo they should anyway), they would probably still get players back that give them enough of a floor to avoid anything like top lottery odds

the murray extension put quite a dent in the outlook of those picks imo

This. But I’d consider trading those for a disgruntled AS caliber. By then Wemby and Co should be in a better position to contend and Spurs would be all in. Somebody like a Doncic might want to pair with him, and Spurs could use those future FRP’s to get it done. Pipe dream, but that would be awesome.

Having them under contract only works if they can get off the playin treadmill. Otherwise, they need to make some sort of change.

Is it me only or Murray is putting ridiculous low numbers in ATL?

Or he is proof that Spurs system made him an all-star?

Triple-double threat no more. I don’t really see his plays getting those numbers again. The guy doesn’t even attack the rim with contact. That was my biggest criticism of his game, plus of course he gambles a lot to get steals (padding stats), his man beating him and forced Poetl to come out leaving his man for a dunk. I’ve seen too much of those.

all they need is one season ending injury tbh

Maybe with that Boston swap :lol

It's fun to dream of future pairings like this, but after watching a replay of the Charlotte game I couldn't help imagining a pairing of Wemby and Mark Williams-- that would be the craziest amount of wingspan ever seen on a defense.

Maybe they could tear things down in return for picks/swaps from another team like the Nets did, at which point they wouldn't really care about their own record for a couple of years.

Flagg committed to Duke, as expected. Will be interesting to see if Boozer does the same.

Too bad for Flagg....hopefully Boozer would declare for the draft 2024.

Spurs is definitely on the tanking route

As bb stated, Boozer is a class behind Flagg. Cooper should go one and done, leave Duke, and Boozer would enroll the following year.

Well...with the current roster, I am sure we can tank consistently for the next 2 years until Flagg is in the draft. :lol

Pop sure is showing the league how witty and CIA he is with these offensive strategies.
