Pop such a dumbass. Mamu plays a big part in the comeback and then doesn't see the floor for the rest of the game.
Victor has some nice buckets but overall he's played like shit. Spurs have been worse with him in the game tonight
:pop: I saw he was having too much fun and had too much confidence. He needs to get over himself :pop:

Yet again would be a close game but the Sanonis FT buffer completely killed the competitive nature of this game
Man fuck NBA man Spurs under staffed against a good SAC team but the league needs SAC narrative so they totally ruin the game to hand it to SAC

Impossible for Spurs to win a tight game against a team with an all NBA finisher because we don't have one. Will Pop bring in a vet or just let the pups grow together.

Kind of a kick in the nuts as underdogs who worked hard to claw back against a very good Kings team just to see the league tip the scales in SACs favor

I have to watch it on DVR but as a Spurs fan who just doesn’t watch much NBA like I used to, can anyone explain why the Kings made a shot when the game was already over instead of holding on to the ball to let the clock run out? Gamecast shows them hitting a shot to end the game.

Why is Collins the last line of defense at the basket? That should probably be the taller, better defender

Overall, the spurs played hard…it has to be demoralizing but they have to review the tape and see the good lobs, the effort from mamu, the good start by champagnie, collins putting a good game together- finally…
and most of all- this sac team is going to be one of the top teams - right next to denver imo
there are some good things to take

He takes a lot of really bad threes. I still think it's going to be a valuable weapon for him long term, he just has retarded shot selection right now. I am a little surprised it has gone the other way though considering his footwork on his three point shot looks a lot better than it did in France or even the preseason. If it makes you feel any better though Durant was a 29% three point shooter his rookie year.

This was a much better effort for the entire team tonight. Lazy passes? Yep. Bad shot selection? Also yes. But they didn't quit and the team defense was a lot better. This was a competitive effort against a superior team.

The GOOD
- Zach carried the team on his back tonight. Yes the stats are great 28/8/5, but what stood out to me was his 100% LEADERSHIP. He was directing on offense and defense, setting screens, and making smart decisions. His stats were a direct consequence of his leadership.
- It’s official: Free Mamu! Wow it was exciting watching him play. He’s oozing with basketball IQ, awareness, and has a unique combo of agility and strength that is fantastic to watch on defense. He’s not a glue guy, he’s a super glue guy.
- Victor’s stat line was interesting: 27pts on 12/26, 9reb, 0ast, 4TO, -31+/-. I honestly don’t care about any of those numbers, good or bad. He is learning what’s working and what’s not, and that’s all the matters. For his mistakes his head was in the right spot. Reminding myself this 19yo has played his 11th NBA game of his life and he’s still doin this.
- Jeremy looked more comfortable out there with 6ast. Good D on Fox who was murdering everybody.
- Keldon had a terrible stretch of TOs, but other than that he did a great job raining 3s in clutch situations. Better decision making and looks more patient. Defense was not atrocious.
- Cedi seems determined to get out of his funk by doing more than shooting 3s. Good on him, he had a nice night.
- Doug with 3ast and 0 TOs?! It’s a Christmas miracle!
The BAD
- Champagnie was just a flat out liability on both ends. Made some decent plays but I put it on Pop for playing him 25min.
- Stat line for Branham looks nice, but his defense was the consistent weak point for us. Was tough to watch.
The UGLY
- No ugliness!
OVERALL the best loss of the season, which is sad to say, but that’s where we’re at these days. Our young guys are showing improvement, individually and collectively. And without Vassell and Tre on the floor! I think with all the Wemby hype and therefore expectations, patience from us fans quietly snuck out the back door the last few months. We’ve made a lot of good progress in only 11 games. Here’s to Jones + Vassell’s health and Mamu minutes! :bobo

IDK I gotta admit the play-in has made early season more interesting where teams so often didn't give a shit in November in year's past. Amazing how much that dinky $500,000 prize is such a carrot in front of the players as opposed to trying to earn a contract for $40 million a year as a middling player like VanVleet did this summer. That contract would give me so much hope to just bust my ass like a madman to earn that kind of money if I was an NBA player of better than scrub talent.

It could be because of the In-season tournament format, where point differential is one of the tie-breakers in the group stage.
Well at least they didn’t get prison fucked tonight. Step in the right direction.

Really nice pick up by SAC with Monk and I like the Huerter acquisition too
Monk was on fire tonight and sustained the Kings.

Kings are kinda fun to watch and bout time they get something going in Sacramento. Good group and I wish them the best.

Wemby is rushing his shot. If he would just pause for a moment and set himself he would be fine. No one is going to block his shot - so there is no need to quick shoot the way he does.
Champagnie is not an NBA rotation player. Candidate for the “Bryn Forbes” award.
Anyway, at least they competed.

Still I would’ve built on Fox and Halliburton. Sabonis could be an AS but I would argue that he’s a player that could be easily replaced by a player like a Zach Collins, but Halliburton is special. I’m sure it hurts Kings fans to see Halliburton beasting it in Indiana and still has years ahead of him.

I'm not super-worried about it, but like, somebody just bring it to his attention.
It was interesting to see Pop coaching him up a little bit, audibly on TV. He definitely needs to lean into the coaching and get a head-start on learning the post stuff.
He can't wait until he's filled out to start learning to play down low. That will help him be more efficient and keep him from being empty-stat.

Gotta say, of all the possible criticisms of our young superstar, it's great that being lazy or not caring aren't anywhere to be seen.

While I believe we can play significantly better than what's produced right now, I still think we're lacking firepower to get to the playoffs.

I don't know why people assume he will be a post player just because he's tall. And if the refs are going to keep allowing him to get mauled to pieces in the paint then you don't want him there anyway.

no one knows yet…too early
say, vw stays healthy thruout the season?
you can make a case that there will come a part of the season where things click, spurs go on a legit win streak and suddenly they look scary…
conversely, vw - should he have health issues- it is plausible to see this team just tanking again and looking even worse
too early to conclude anything to be fair
