Yeah, Austin better. Not even close right now
Yes. Reaves has higher BBall IQ, clutch gene, get to the line, non injury prone than Cassell.

Wait, are people mad about this game? It's the most fun I've had watching them since that first Phoenix game. I don't care if they win any other games this season -- I just want them to be entertaining. I think they were that tonight, especially in the fourth quarter. There's no one in the draft that I want them to target, but I'd rather them have as many options as possible.
What? The lakers coasted half the 4th. It's the only reason this game is close. It's the only reason any game this team is close. As soon as the other team turns up the pressure on our guards and they actually make an effort to run real nba plays on the other end, this team completely folds and have no hope of winning.
If another team played 36 minutes of good basketball regardless of their talent or who was on the team the spurs would lose by 40 every game.

In some ways it's encouraging to see how many mistakes Wemby might've made when guarding Davis. Obviously Davis looked really good, but Wemby got him a few times, and theoretically he could get him a lot more if he had a bit more experience in how to guard NBA players using his positioning rather than his hands.

I didn't say the same was close the whole time. I said it was entertaining. It was that for multiple stretches. A lot of folks seem to hate everyone on the team who isn't Wemby, but I've found the team much more watchable now that Sochan isn't playing PG. In a couple of months when Pop has the brilliant idea to start Jones, the team will be even more watchable.

Vassell is shooting 3-25 from three in his last 3 games. Single handily cost us all those games with his shot chucking and terrible shot selection. I just fear that Senile Poop might insert Collins back in the starting lineup again after going winless since the change, even though Wemby has put on masterclasses. All thanks to Vassell following in Dion Waiters' mantra about preferring to go 0-for-30 over going 0-for-9

I thought the rip through move was eliminated years ago. How come Davis got Victor twice on that cheap shit?

There's literally no one on the team who is a respectable shooter, other than McDermott.

IIRC it’s supposed to be called as a common foul, not shooting. Not sure if Lakers were in the bonus when AD got rewarded tbh.

I'd be perfectly okay if Victor took 20 shots a game.

the 3 point shooting has been godawful from everyone. In fact, i wouldn't be surprised if it broke some sort of record

So true, the team as a whole is in a slump. Good to see VW have a good night there last night tho

He is so generous with the press and incredibly thoughtful. Great kid. Only 19 wow.
Honestly if he ever leaves the Spurs I’m not sure how the franchise recovers tbh

:lol I prefer basketball teams who win over basketball teams that are "watchable". I don't even know what that means tbh.

There are plenty of teams that win every year, if that's your priority. The Spurs haven't been good for that in a while. I like winning, but there's very little difference right now between them being a 15-win club or a 30-win club. It doesn't bother me at all that they didn't win last night. Until the Pistons quit their streak, the Spurs have to keep pace anyway.

i found the exact opposite tbh. Seems to me the recent megaslump is directly correlated.

Directly correlated to what? They've been slumping both when Sochan has been playing PG and when he hasn't been. It's just now they're more watchable to me that Sochan is playing PF and Wemby is playing C.
