Seconded. More of this pls.

Vic passed up a couple of elbow jumpers tonight that he's typically been pretty money on. That's the only other shot I'd like to see added back to the repitore. Glad to see the early shot-clock chucker trey being trained out of him.

Didn't see any of the game but I assume this was a Wemby completely dominated when he was on the court so it didn't matter what the other team did game? Also saw the Guests were missing half their team.

Wemby was so close to a quad double if you do per 36.

great game, but we still need to iron out those open 3s and defensive rebounding before opponents take us seriously.

thoughts on him being better suited on the perimeter or play as a small forward should be put to rest.

also, investing in another center just for that center to get in his way would be a waste

You didn't like the part where Brogdon hit three open threes in a row at the same spot on the court?

Pretty crazy how close Wemby was to a quad double in only 25 minutes.

I'm really surprised by his playmaking, in the last 5 games he's averaging more than 5 assists. I honestly believe he'll be the next player to hit a quadruple double.

Unsure what game you watched to come to that conclusion. The Spurs currently have no centers on the roster.

the game last night where Victor did most of his damage in the paint and only did spot up 3s, as it shows in the image in the post I quoted. Yes, the Spurs have shit backup centers but what im saying is they shouldnt use their top picks to get a backup center.

those shots have been way more efficient for him than his weak pull up 2s and 3s

If the team just stops over helping on D and leave open 3s it can make a masive differense

Opp team are already fearfull in the paint when Vic is there, it's so unnecessary...

If Vic starts to play more in the paint, then the Spurs need more a PF who can shoot the three for sure.

I dont think its a natural assumption for the PF to need to be a volume 3 pt shooter. Someone like Sochan with his 2 attempts is just fine. In any given lineup, having two volume 3 pt shooters is enough, and then two playmakers/ shot creators, then your center in Vic. Not everyone has to shoot 8 3pas a game.

i think multiple quad doubles are inevitable tbh

the question is if he'd ever hit the quintuple double

Of the players on the current roster whose passing is most reminiscent of Manu, it turns out, strangely enough, it’s Wemby. He has a surprisingly good flair for timing, accuracy, and judgment about when to pass. His height helps a lot, of course. Wemby has spoken of modeling his game after Durant, but maybe he should have chosen Jokic. :)

Wemby needs to realize this. One of the issues the Spurs and are trying to work out is that Wemby wants to play on the perimeter.

Wemby will be the next player to record a quad double and it will be within the next 3 seasons tbh

by god is that RISACHER MUSIC?

Sounds like it. Risacher is a good 3-point shooter and would get a lot of opportunities when opponents double team Vic. It would be nice to have an all-star PG to share the ball and also be a threat from 3.

Agree that the shots are more efficient, but they weren't center shots. They weren't even power forward shots. He got them in transition, give and goes and lobs. Since he was getting good shots, he didn't have to settle for bad shots, which he does when they don't move the ball properly.

Hell, his blocks didn't even come from the center position. He knows when to help, when to stay home and when to roam. When his teammates aren't giving up 50 percent from the outside they suddenly look decent, and he looks amazing.

As I have said, the quality of Victor's shots goes up with the number of touches his teammates generate for him. Frankly, the quality of his defense and his passing goes up with it as well.

I don't think they should waste a pick on a backup center either. I'd be fine with a starting center if he was the best player available, though. Just getting a guy who will make it as a pro is a win.

Defensively he plays a lot like Anthony Davis.
