With that said, time to stop grading pop on a curve. He can’t get anything above a D when he refuses to start a point guard

Don't know what it's going to take for Sochan to get an F in these grades. Pop too. Branham should be getting F's most nights. I don't know how he can't when the man he's guarding shoots nearly 58% like Branham was being asked to guard 1999-00 Shaq every night.

The player that clearly hurts the team the most is Sochan. I think they could actually win games if they started Mamu at PF since he can shoot the 3 and is a better passer and rebounder than Sochan. Defensively almost our entire roster is trash, so it makes no difference.

Much as I like Mamu he's even worse defensively than Keldon who is worse than Sochan (who is still awful and bottom third of the league in DFG). Though Mamu is nowhere close to as bad defensively as Branham whose DFG is an eye popping 57.7%. How is that even possible for someone who has played as many minutes as Branham?

Instead of letting the players take a night or two off, Pop should take a game or two off and let someone else run the show. We are at the bottom along with Detroit, so it can't be any worse than we are doing now. At least they play their real point guards on a regular basis. Our fake point guards (Branham and Sochan) suck at it.

Tre Jones
The Celtics were basically not defending Jones when he was outside of the paint. He tried to make them pay by way of three-point shots but that didn’t happen. The backup point guard was 0-for-5 from deep to drop to 23.7% from three-point land on the season.

That's another big problem. In today NBA you can't have a PG that shoot this bad from three. Jones is fine but if he doesn't improve his shoot he'll be out out the league in two years.

What is more frustrating is every off-season there are reports of Jones trying to improve his range and it just looks worst.

Jones is a backup tier PG and should be a backup PG as he is now. But that contemplates having a starting point guard, which we don’t. Makes him the best of bad options, though i think Graham could work

Sohan on offense was the biggest weak link. Like they do to Collins, the opposition sagged off him bigtime. Spurs offense had him on the receiving end of many open looks . His drives and open threes just couldnt take advantge which included an airballed three.

On defense he mostly couldnt stay in front of who ever he guarding and didnt help on rebounds enough that inluded not blockin out. He's big body with a good base, needs to use it
