A new season will begin so here we go.

There is Immediate confusion on the shape of the playoff system.
And it is supposed to be redone in 2 years.
Despite what people think, there are a lot of smart people in the room with very different interests so it makes this whole mess very interesting.
The Pac 12 is an obvious problem with what was to be a 12 team playoff. So here we go with the old/new system, and the possible changes for this coming year from just one source.

https://apnews.com/article/cfp-expansion-b13376a4452edca04bf6c7693ba5b035

I personally love the struggles; and how different people with different interests try to work through it.
It gives me a better feeling for the interests of different entities involved. Nothing in the article really recognize the huge influence of Sports Networks and how they bid for rights to show the games. I should really say the article was not written to broach the subject of broadcast rights, which is huge. Those of you who actually watch the games and or bet on the games, this will determine what you will be viewing. Pretty cool times. Like trying to decide on what you streaming companies you use or what cable company to go with.

Local kid here in San Diego. Reached the City final couple years.

Heading to tOSU. Not hiding from competition. Thought maybe he'd go safe USC trojans.

The Buckeyes going all out after Michigan finally won

This whole realignment thing into several mega conferences.....

I'm not digging it.

Maybe will as it gets closer to playoff time.

UCLA enters the Big 10 and Chip Kelley goes from head coach at UCLA to OC at Ohio St?

The Big 10 has got some huge gaps in team strength. This move is kind of shocking and :dizzy:dizzy

So you wanted more playoff teams...

Ideas being bantered around:

1. Revenue sharing will NOT be equal. SEC and Big 10 get a larger piece. Possibly a significantly larger piece.
2. SEC and Big 10 will be guaranteed a certain amount of spots when 14 teams enter in 2026.

Sorry boys but this sucks imo.
Number 2 above makes a mockery of the regular season.
I understand number 1 because the viewing audience is larger due to Name recognition of the SEC and Big 10 teams. But it then keeps a hierarchy in place. When its possibly not deserved.

I remember a day where they used to at least pretend to be non profit

Thankfully he runs fast.
Thankfully for him.

It would be very interesting to be his agent.
"You know what I saying?"
Interviews are important. It is not in a player's best interest if the NFL feels they need to babysit their employees.

On the other hand, not believing in a 3 dimensional life is super interesting.
I can see a piece of paper or a line questioning 3 dimensions, but even jellyfish need function in 3 dimensions.

I remember having a causal conversation with a bicycle shop owner who felt the need to show me a video on the flat earth.
I asked him what was on the other side of the flat, cause he had "the top side" figured out apparently. He responded, "good question?'
Being good at fixing bicycles and running fast, keep those attributes going.

It's like a whole different game off the field with all these different interests in play. And yeah, the Pac 12's situation just adds to the drama.

UT still has not found another DT (got two from Arizona need another) and CB in the portal.

Having the best pair of DT in the nation leave at the same time hurts.
The CB from Arizona UT really wanted flat out said do not contact.
The DT from TCU that Texas really wants is a toss up. He is visiting a lot of big schools. Damonic Williams.

UT has had two CB leave. One a part time starter who they really needed, the other saw the numbers of good young CB at Texas and made a good decision to leave.
