A Jerry Jones, Bill Belichick partnership isn't as crazy as it sounds (msn.com) (https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/a-jerry-jones-bill-belichick-partnership-isnt-as-crazy-as-it-sounds/ar-AA1mL6fD)

Belichick doesnt wanna work for fucking Jerry Jones. Stop it. He will probably go to whatever desparate idiots are willing to give him GM powers.

Just more confirmation that head coach is the most overrated position in pro sports.

Head coach in the NFL is very important. Look at how negatively they have impacted the Chargers and Bills
I'm thinking Bill goes to Chargers since they canned their GM and coach. Vrabel to the Pats now maybe? Titans firing him was dumb imo.
Welp looks like Pats went with Jerod Mayo for HC to scoop up those sweet DEI points.

Mayo might end up a great head coach, but to not even do your due diligence and interview Vrabel or Flores or Harbaugh is just criminally irresponsible.

The logic of instantly promoting him makes no sense.
One of the biggest sources of criticism around Belichick was the underqualified assistant coaching staff he'd assembled of family members, former players and has-beens. The remedy for that isn't to fire Belichick and replace him with one of the underqualified assistant coaches he hired for their relationship and not on the merits.

Also no matter where Belichick goes, he's going to need to have a great offensive mind managing that side of the field. I think it's pretty established that Belichick might be a legendary defensive coach but he has no fucking idea what to do on offense as long as the QB is anyone not named Tom Brady.
