No. Absolutely NO interest in him spiriting Wemby to Klutch, and another team, eventually. Hes fucking washed without ref help, which he won’t get here. I don’t want his massively overrated son taking up a roster spot, either.

Lol. Lebron ain't coming to arguably the worst team in the league at 40 years old unless we select Bronny in the draft, which we won't. Idc how much he enjoys eating at Mi Tierra whenever he comes to town, it ain't happening.
Imagine the media circus though with Wemby and Bron on the same team. Would be the old man's worst nightmare tbh :lol

Sure we'll take him. We like "need to retire" vets plus he'd be great working with Victor. Not saying he needs to retire, his output is far above a lot of "good" players.
:lmao Spurfan
"We don't want prime Jordan because he'll take touches away from Branham and Zollins"
We'd have to draft his son. Not going to waste a lottery pick to get a 2nd round player to pair with a 40 year old Lebron. I'd be fine with Lebron coming, but he will want to play with a team that drafts his son or a contender and the Spurs will not be either of those options.

Bronny doesn't even look like an NBA player right now tbh. Any team that would draft him in the 1st Round is unserious, and any team taking a flyer on him in the 2nd Round would only be doing so in hopes of luring Lebron.
But I don't see any way LeBron signs with the Spurs or any awful, lottery-bound team for that matter. The much more likely scenario is that if Bronny does indeed enter his name into the 2024 NBA Draft (he shouldn't), Klutch would just flex their nuts and tell teams not to draft him so that he falls right into the Lakers' laps with their pick late in the 2nd Round, which is where he belongs anyways.
The hyperbole went to 11 on that one.
Not really. Bron is a top 10-15 player this year. Spursfan shitting on the extremely remote possibility of him coming over is peak retardation and lol-worthy.

Lebron ain't ever coming here unless the Spurs botch their lotto pick and take Bronnie. Otherwise, Lebron is way too mainstream to feel comfortable on a team like the Spurs. If the franchise moved to Austin, he'd probably consider simply signing as a free agent. Consider, that is.

I actually always said we should waste a pick (probably a 2nd rounder anyway) on Bronny to get LeBron to play his last year here once we won the lottery. He can play with Wemby (the 2 most hyped prospects) and play for Pop with his son. Would be a great NBA storyline and we can carry him to his 5th ring. I just have no clue what year Bronny will enter the draft :lol

exstatic thought half the league was chasing Jalen Smith in the offseason and he'd get 30 mill/3 years. At the end the only team that wanted to sign him were the Pacers for 5 million/1 year plus player option. Jalen Smith is like the only NBA player he likes, probably cause he wears glasses :lol

There are WAY better options with the 32nd-36th Picks in the Draft than Bronny :lol. Spurs actually have a chance to get a contributing role player at that spot if they don't blow it.
And like I said previously, Klutch would just tell us (and every other team) to fuck off so that he fell into the Lakers' laps in the 2nd Round. Bron and his kid don't have to worry about moving to another city and finding a house and all that. Bronny will end up a laker one or another tbh.

It's not happening anyways, but the media circus would be unbearable tbh. The nonstop coverage would make us Public Enemy #1 pretty quickly imo, much how it has Lebron outside of his diehard supporters. Would be pretty wild to see Bron and Wemby on the same team though. MJ wasn't juiced to the gills at 39 either though, to be fair.
I'd actually be really interested to see what LeBron looks like at 39 without the PED's tbh. Considering how much worse he looked the first few games of 2013 when he wasn't on them (after being spooked by the release of the Bosch Report that had his initials in it and then went on that 2-week hiatus to get back on them), I imagine he would look pretty bad right now tbh. At least in comparison. He owes a lot of his longevity and greatness to those miracle drugs imo.

Oh Lebron's definitely not the only one. Derrick Rose said himself on a podcast that he believes 70% of the league is on them, which is crazy, but not surprising. They're rampant in all professional and amateur sports these days. Hell they're even rampant in high school sports now.
MJ may very well have been on PED's too, and I'm sure he was to some degree. I know Deca, Anadarine, Testosterone Cypionate, and Minstrel were already getting big in the early-mid 90's, as well as anabolic steroids of course. But they didn't have nearly the advanced, endurance-based PED's that professional athletes have available today, in particular HGH and EPO's. I'm sure MJ used some for sure, as he was notorious for playing almost every game of every season for years, which obviously takes a huge toll on the human body. But by his late 30's, he wasn't moving like somebody on PED's. Again, I could be wrong and we'll never know, but he didn't appear to be on them at that point in his career, whereas LeBron is still running and flying around the damn court like he's 30 years old.
Donald Sterling.

Think Lebron retires a laker tbh. There really aren't many better options unless he's willing to take a massive pay-cut. His hometown Cavs aren't serious contenders, he hates the Celtics and their fan base, and I don't see him playing for small markets like Minny or OKC. The only somewhat realistic option I could see are the Heat in a reunion with Spoelstra, but that seem pretty unlikely as well. Think he just stands pat with the Lakers and forces Klutch to get Bronny onto their roster.

Welcome 100%. Bron has already said he would play for vet min if his son were on the team.
Facepalm.
Who is it on this current and likely next years Spurs roster that you just cannot part with, cannot give their minutes to Lebron?
Bronny: The heart situation changed everything for sure. That having been said, the kid is 19 years old. Plenty of time to improve.
Since Bronny gets Lebron in at vet min, it a total go.
Would be great for Wama for a year or two. Lebron an excellent strategist and some retards calling him a ballhog, go to Oz and get some BBIQ. Often does a great job of setting up his teamates.

You’re right. It was 2014*, my bad. Yea he randomly showed up for Training Camp 15 lbs lighter than usual. He looked skinny as hell, like Rookie Lebron. His reasoning was that he wanted to shed some weight to make it easier on his joints lol, but we all know it’s cause The Bosch Report was released with his initials on it and he got spooked, so he stopped taking PED’s for a while. He struggled at the beginning of the season adjusting to playing at that weight, so he took 2 weeks off in the middle of the season to “reset his mind.” He shows up 2 weeks later and had miraculously added 10 lbs of muscle and starts playing better. It was so obvious lol. D-Wade was doing ‘em too and you could see it with how big his jaw got lol (a common side effect of HGH).

Bronny won’t be available in the 2nd round. A contending team will draft him just to get his dad for a year or 2. That’s where it would really make sense to waste a pick. Spurs would likely need to get another pick in the 15-20 range to get him.

But yeah if LeBron takes minutes away from Champagnie, he might not reach his serviceable bench player potential by year 5.

Just pointing out that Duncan's PER was Top 15 (at 22.6 PER) the season prior to his last one (PER 16.9). Like I said, though, for the Veteran's Minimum LeBron would be a steal.

If LeBron did come here for some type of heoric send off, teaching Wemby about being a champion, playing for pop yada yada yada. Are we as a fan base, ready for that media circus, last match in every city. surrounding the Spurs? Youth players not getting a run because of a rare chance of a long playoff run, with almost no bench to actually achieve that run?

This is actually a very insightful dynamic... adding to your question, would the media circus actually do more damage than good to Victor's development?

Prob would have stayed 20+ had he not hurt his good knee his final year too. Tough enough to drag one bad leg up and down the floor but two is practically impossible. Can't believe even Tim could put up a 17 PER at 39 on zero good knees.

I'd take the media circus in a second for a title shot. With how stacked the west is right now and with crazy young talent in Denver, OKC, Minnesota, Dallas, and here the conference is going to be a bloodbath through 2030. And that's not even factoring in the Clippers who should remain title contenders another 2-3 years. Honestly hoping the NBA will get off their asses and admit Las Vegas and Seattle into the league so the Spurs can move to the East like in the early post-merger years. Though doubt Silver would be very happy with OKC-San Antonio or Minnesota-San Antonio NBA Finals in 3-4 years. :lol

On the plus side, this might drive Pop crazy enough to finally retire and name a successor. So maybe there's an upside.
Path to Championship ball would be opened.

Can’t wait to have Lebron lead the spurs to 17 wins in his final season, ending with a 60 point mic drop game. The king out.

Good Lord, you thought of the only scenario where I'd welcome Kawhi back if given a choice. DO NOT WANT LEBRON or his offspring.

I'm pretty confident that we wouldn't have a shot. If the Spurs got Chris Paul as his last hurrah, okay maybe. But the Spurs would struggle to get 8 reliable playoff rotational players, let alone depth to get through the regular season.

I think ecstatic is not watching any nba game other than Spurs, LeBron is easy top 15 in the league at 39 y/o. One says we need vet but would not take the best vet ever :lol lebron and Victor playing together a couple of seasons would be absolutely amazing for the franchise
Top 15? Nah. Starter who should get less playing time due to age so that he consistently efforts on defense? Yeah. Most of the guys at the SF and PF spots who don't have a name yet are giving him a cushion like it's an all star game because they don't want to foul out in the second quarter. At least that's been my experience half watching 3 or 4 laker games in the background this year and some highlights. I don't think he's washed, but I see a guy who has it easy between laker refs, his own rep and only really playing defense on 10-15 possessions most games.

smh... he is at 25 ppg 7 apg 7 rpg just on par with career average on a higher efficiency when playing a bit less :lol you are telling this is not good enough for top 15 ?

LeBron probably just saying that to get people to draft his son. He's not leaving LA in my opinion.

Only shows how truly remarkable and sound Tim's game was. Mr. Fundamental brought the goods as long as his legs could carry him.

You wouldn’t trade a second round pick for LeBron? :lol

Josh Primo? You son of a bitch, I'm in

Basically this... 2nd round picks are such crap shoots. If giving up one of a handful of 2nd round picks to draft Bronny gets you Bron, you do it 100% of the time - and I don't even like LeBron. Personal preferences aside, LeBron is still producing more than every other player on the current Spurs squad.
