We are having a Holdem Tournament here at my country club tomorrow night(Tuesday). It is a $50 buy in with one re-buy within the first hour. If you are interested, let me know and I will give you more specifics. We are trying to get two tables, right now we have only 10 guys, and want 16-18.

Actually if anyone on here is ever interested, we could setup private tourneys or tables at Party Poker or whatever other room you guys want to use. I know that most of them allow for private tables.

Ok, I just checked Party Poker and it doesn't allow private tournaments only private tables, so we would have to use PokerStars. I don't currently have any money in an account there but I would be more than willing to set one up simply for Spurstalk.com tournaments.

Basically, you would need to create a PokerStars account and download the software then make a deposit into the account. We could set the buyin at the amount you want to play at but I think (I'm not sure) it would have to go in increments of 10. We could also choose the game we wanted to play, but I'm faily certain most people in here would want NL Texas Hold 'em.

The minimum deposit is 25 dollars, so we're not talking a huge hurting here. I would be fine with making the buyin something like 11 dollars. Ten dollars of that would go torwards the prize pool and the last dollar would go torwards PokerStars as a fee for hosting the tournament.

It would really be very easy to setup and would allow for people in different locations to play at a very low cost. If you guys are down, I'll be more than happy to set it up.

We had 10 guys show up for the tournament.

We played the first hr pot limit for a $20 buy in with rebuys if you went below your original starting pt.($600)

I lost my stack on the 3rd hand with two pair Aces and Tens, to a set, fives. :depressed Dude flopped a set, and I did not see it at all.

I rebought 600 chips for another $20 and stayed even til the 2nd round.

Then we bought 2000 chips for $50 for the No Limit game in the 2nd round, with no further rebuys.

I was "rivered" twice on huge hands and lost all my chips to finish in 9th place. :depressed

The guy who won it, Rex was on life support in the final 5 players with an All In bet that was about the level of the BB at that time $1200, he tripled up with a river flush, and won a few more hands of considerable size, and ended up winning it with two Qs(Q-9 starting hand) when the last player went all in. This shows that you are never out of a tournament, until your last chip is gone....I did not think Rex had a chance because there were 3 players that had 6-8 times his stack when he won that All In bet.

It was fun, and hope sometime that you guys can make it up for a tournament.

Or you guys could save a lot of time and transfer the money directly to my account because that's where it's going to wind up anyway.

Thats pretty sweet. I played in a 2500 freeroll a couple of nights ago on Party. 800 people to start, and there were about 125 left and I was the big stack in the tourney. I got dealt KK and raised, so I reraised the guy, who pushed all in. I couldn't lay down kings, so I called only to see the guy bust out rockets.

I didn't hit a king and his aces held.

2 hands later, I played AQ. Everyone called my preflop raise but no one reraised it. An ace hit on the flop, so I bet, got raised, and with a much smaller stack the only real rereaise I could make was a push so I did it.

Guy showed me AK and it held.

I gotta look you guys up on Party.

I think the buy in would be best set at around 10 -20 bucks for everyone. I'm down with a higher one though.

Oh, and we have to make the time favorable to the Euro's that want to play too.

Jim you get a lunch, so can you play during lunch. That's what I'm going to do.

Just throwing out ideas as far as times are concerned.

Any buy-ins mentioned are cool by me but we shouldn't make too high that it excludes people.
