yeah im ok with vic trying to drive against slower footed centers, or generally when he's trying to push the break to put pressure on the defense. but man, trying to string together multiple moves in the half court he just comically falls down

Another thing that makes me think it's just Victor falling into bad habits: twice in the last game Sean pointed out that when Victor's doing a crossover he's using the wrong hand to initiate the move, exposing the ball across his body for the initial shake. He did the same thing again in the second quarter tonight and it makes that move a lot easier to strip than it should be. I can't imagine the coaching staff hasn't brought it up if Sean kept catching it on the broadcast.

Pop likes to show Victor he's not a guard. I've heard Pop say more than once that he wants Victor to learn what he can do, and to not fall in love with the 3. Victor seems to like being a guard though. So did Tim, but he wasn't too serious about it.

Honestly i think horizon is fine on very hard. I’m not touching ultra hard. I’d entertain that on an NG+ run not that I’d be doing that anytime this decade lol

i think it generally scales well. Makes you really have to emphasize shot placement, targeting components, shooting canisters, applying acid to the thicc guys to remove armor, etc as opposed to just shooting regular hunter arrows at center mass and being rewarded for it

i generally play one level below the max difficulty on games. Unless it’s just an “easy-normal-hard” thing. Even in god of war my first play thru has been give me a challenge (renamed no mercy in ragnarok) before doing a gmgow run (followed by obligatory gmgow+)

think i also played highest difficulty on spiderman games but those aren’t hard at all

Yes, this is a great call. Wemby actually killed our momentum with the double turnover as soon as he came back in.

You see that Victor forces shots because sometimes he doesn't have other options, yet you're oblivious to Sochan going through the same? In fact I'd say plenty of Vic's 3s early in the clock are simply bad shots, he takes a lot of those. Fact of the matter is the current team's make up isn't conducive to winning and pretty much every player is suffering as a result, the FO made a decision to tank this season to accumulate more talent to put around Wemby next season.
I fully expect this to be the last tanking season, I'm not saying there will be big trades or FA signings by next season (more likely in '25) but definitely a few key additions to have the roster make more sense. We can't go into next season with with Tre and Blake as our 1/2 PG options, and we need at least a vet wing who can defend, shoot, and be a playmaker, and a center who can actually protect the rim when Wemby isn't on the court. And we need a coach to do some coaching as well. That should be enough to fight for the play in.
