View Full Version : Mahomes will 3 Peat next year and solidify being the Goat,,,,

No team has ever 3 peated in the Super Bowl era and when Mahomes does it before the age of 30 next year and before entering his prime,,,,bow down to the GOAT,,,,,4 titles,,,4 Super Bowl MVP's,,,and a 3 peat before the age of 30,,,,,,nice.

Nick Wright predicted a 20-0 season this year, he might have been a season too early. If they keep the defense intact, resign Bieniemy and get a couple of good receivers, they could build the best KC team of the Mahomes' era. A three-peat capped with a 20-0 season gives Mahomes the GOAT edge on most people's eyes, imho.

The NFL as a whole just sucks , and is full of choke artists or inconsistent teams. The 9ers are solid obviously, but outside of that, the NFC is as bad as I can recall it ever being. Only hope is maybe Jordan Love turns into something special. AFC has more talent, but the Ravens/Bills always fall apart when it matters. It's too bad there's no Manning/Brees/Rodgers etc level of quarterbacks to compete against

How much of that is coaching vs coaching effect in the NBA?

Will Hunting's theory of upper class parents pulling their quarterback sons out of football at an early age due to concussion risks is a pretty good explanation on why the QB position has gone downhill. But I have another theory to add on.
Seems like this generation of players just doesn't care about the game or put in the time to 'love football' like previous generations did. Not saying it's a bad thing, but just what I've noticed with just about every swinging dick player (former or current) having his own podcast during the week, pimping brands on instagram etc. It's just the time we live in so it's whatever. A good example is that one Steelers receiver a few years back who made it a point to 'hit the stanky leg' on the opposing team's midfield logo and film it for TikTok every week. Despite teams saying they used it as motivation, he kept doing it because the social media street cred was that important to him. If I recall, he fumbled the ball one game too after a hard hit where the defender admitted he put a little 'extra' on it because of the disrespect. So it indirectly led to him playing worse.
Also, Micah Parsons inviting Stephen A on his podcast recently to argue about whether or not "Dak has it or not". Just a pure circus to build his brand. Back in previous generations, teams would rally internally to block out the noise. Nowadays, a lot of teams (especially Dallas) like to engage with the media circus for entertainment. Just shows, to me, that purely focusing on football is not a thing anymore

Players are treating themselves as brands now, corporations with presumed shareholders and they want to squeeze out every penny from marketing antics. It's not much different than some do gooder corporations who "save lives" but sacrifice quality constantly to increase EPS. In the end it's about how well the individual can live. Both the sport/championship and the corporation/cause are pretty labels on a product designed to increase the wealth of the shareholder.

Everyone notes how young Mahomes is and how much career he has left. Could that also work against him? Say he threepeats, wins 4 by the age of 30. Goat status to many if not most (but not all). Plays another 10-11 years until he’s 40 but doesn’t win another one. 4 in his first 7 full seasons. But no more. Would that make him Goat after the 4. But another decade of playing without anymore, would that drop him?
Just throwing out that scenario.

I can see it, the Kansas City Swifts get away with more holds, illegal formations and false starts than any other team in the league. Then Patty lashes out and cries on the sidelines, the one time it gets called :lol
2 mins to go, Chiefs have the ball, refs swallow the whistle, O line gets away with yet another blatant hold, and Patty goes on another "miraculous" 3rd down run to seal the deal.
That's the Chiefs winning formula.

Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has recently hinted at support for Donald Trump and then defended her stance on social media. She delivered more on that topic Wednesday.
The 28-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and former college soccer player appeared to like several comments on her most recent Instagram post that indicated support for Trump.
One of the comments she liked said "TRUMP-VANCE 2024."

Yeah that Bible belt area and circle of friends she grew up around fits the Trumptard demographic right on cue. But I think hanging with her new wanna be besty Taylor she might be flip flopping back and forth depending on how popular it might make her.

The only threat to Mahomes in the AFC is a healthy Cincy team. I'm hoping that in a year (2 max) Harbaugh will have the Chargers humming and he'll get 2 cracks at them a year. Coaching is so goddamn important in the NFL, where it is basically a negligent position in all other sports.
Josh Allen is my favorite player by far and yes I'm incredibly biased, but his numbers since 2019-2020 are unconscionable--including % of team's offense. He's a fucking stud who is prone to throwaway a game or two every year because HE HAS TO DO FUCKING EVERYTHING to overcome Sean McLaden and his lovable band of WRs that finish Top-3 in drops every season. Give him Shanahan or Reid and he already has 2-3 rings.
Lamar Jackson has gotten the absolute max out of his abilities and I love how he fits the Ravens. I just wish he was that unstoppable in the playoffs. He's the opposite of Joe Flacco, who was a dumpster fire regular season QB and Joe Montana in the playoffs (although he was definitely reg season Flacco vs Texans:lol).
The pressure is on Lamar and Josh over the next 2-3 seasons while they still have peak athletic abilities. Unfortunately (especially for Josh), his coach fits the medical definition of retarded.

He's a turnover machine and his team is Undefeated. I'll wager he doesn't return to the player he was 3 years ago.
Chiefs point differential is 50. With a 7-0 record. That's alot of close games. Which they have found ways to win in the Postseason with long FGs, Mahomes running and controversial flags. The odds of that continuing AND an opposing offense not getting a break in the 4th Quarter?
Even the odds of KCC finally having a significant injury to their core team.

One of the more underrated regular seasons from a team in recent memory. 15-1 (obviously would be 16-1 if they gave a shit next week, but still may win), getting healthy at the right time, and have the significant mental edge on their biggest challengers (Bal, Buf and LAC). Chargers are a year or two away weapons-wise, Lamar will turn into a playoff dud as always, and McDermott’s “defense”/ST will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, per usual.
Lions and Vikings are the most complete teams in NFC, but I’d sooner bet the Rams or Packers since I like their QB ceilings more.
The 3-peat is on, barring Josh going to another level never seen or the Rams or Packers getting hot at the right time
