2nd season of the latest Postseason format resulted in another Wild October. But let's remember the regular season also enjoyed fresh faces & surprise struggles by long time contenders.

It was a season with ballsy changes to the everyday game and overall widely enjoyed by fans.


We enter 2024 with few overall changes but a uniform controversy. All jokes aside 2024 is a season with more hopeful teams entering the regular season than ever before.

Players today are so emotional on the field, I like it. Tatis went overboard vs Cubs but this subdue reaction @ Chavez Ravine was perfection. Act like you expected it. And the team responded.

This is an excellent ploy to throw hitters timing off especially the hitters who lift the forward leg and try to time the pitchers.

Tough sweep by the Astros. Had quality starting pitching but the Pen & defense unraveled. Ultimately 3 runs in 2 games at Home isn't good enough. What to do with Abreu.

Fans seem to be questioning the ability of Bagwell to keep this sustained run of success going. Big picture the franchise is clearly heading downward but I still believe this long time Winner will return to the Postseason. For the first time in a long time, not likely as Division Winner.

They've benefitted from playing bottom dwellers for the most part since the ASB, but the Padres from the last few years have struggled to routinely beat the teams they're supposed to beat. They've also had to come from behind in a lot of their wins which just isn't sustainable, and their newly vaunted bullpen has been shaky outside Adam.

They've beaten good teams on this run, but the Padres of the last few years did that too while getting blasted by shitty teams (they're something like .200 against the Rockies the past few years ffs). Being able to come from behind is a good trait obviously, but having to do it over and over exhausts a team. They need some blowout victories to give their bullpen a rest especially with the lack of days off in the next month.
