Divorce is a major life change that can leave a person reeling and depressed. Suddenly being on your own to deal with issues such as money, children, career changes and downsizing the family home can seem overwhelming.

Now some may try to put on a straight face and claim to "celebrate" divorce but the destruction of what was once a desired relationship is never easy.

The most imortant part to deal with in a divorce is the children.
Divorce can create emotional wounds in children. Talk to them about what's going on, what they're feeling, and how things will get better.
Involve them. If they know there are things they can do to help this transition, it will give them a feeling of power.

I wish you the best in your new life. Take it one step at a time.

hey man, it's YOUR business, and I know NOTHING of it, so please do not take offense, but do make sure you take a look in the mirror as well.

when relationships are broken, it's most often two people fault.

if one does not learn, the same mistakes will be made AGAIN in a future relationship. this goes for BOTH sides.

Godbless you brother. You and your wife are in my prayers.

And don't drink too much...:lol

Yep. That's the part that sucks. I didn't want her to have to go through what I did when my parents split up.

Congratulations!! The worst part of my life was the few months before making the "final" decision to get divorced. You are probably feeling great relief right now.

That there were children made it tough at first, but all in all it was not too bad (except for the part where I got drunk and woke up in Mississippi).

PM your address and I will burn you a couple of CDs as a divorce gift to you.

And yes to what someone said above - do what you can to spoil little miss ASF.

Again, congratulations.

Adios.

Sorry, ASF. I know you weren't happy but divorce still sucks. Good luck to you. Make sure to protect your little girl from as much heartache as you can.

Follow your heart and God bless you with the decisions you make from this day forward... As for the little one, make sure you give her lots and lots of love and let her know these things happen and that when she Is older she will understand that Mommy & Daddy had to do what they had to do but that It was never her fault.

Good Luck!
