Spurs aren't making the playoffs next year, so anything they can get from that veteran will be worth it. Notable Pop was the one who said bringing in a veteran player wasn't prudent with where the team is right now. I guess they had 2nd thoughts when Paul was waived.

Paul has finally accepted his fate, and joined the one team where he will surely and positively not win a ring. Good for him.

He won't have to get injured in the 1st round.
