The first missed altogether (hit the box beneath the podium well away from Trump), the second hit Trump's ear, and it was either the third or fourth that killed the Italian-American man Comperatore. He was a bald man and the bullet hit him directly in the back of the skull and he died fairly instantly. A doctor nearby tried to save him but he was already gone. The other two rounds wounded several other people, including grazing someone's neck and seriously wounding two others but they're expected to survive.

Oswald was a good shooter and didn't miss, though he was definitely a SAWM (at minimum, an Edward Snowden) of sorts of his day in an era before social media and video games.
