So their evidence is preliminary and incomplete but they firmly can state someone elses statement is a lie. Let's bring back professional journalism.

Before Trump was elected he said he knew nothing about David Duke.
Trump had entertained a run for some conservative reform party and said this about David Duke:
New York Times, Feb. 14, 2000: Mr. Trump painted a fairly dark picture of the Reform Party in his statement, noting the role of Mr. Buchanan, along with the roles of David Duke, a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan, and Lenora Fulani, the former standard-bearer of the New Alliance Party and an advocate of Marxist-Leninist politics.
“The Reform Party now includes a Klansman, Mr. Duke, a neo-Nazi, Mr. Buchanan, and a communist, Ms. Fulani,” he said in his statement. “This is not company I wish to keep.”
What I dis not get is why lie about it. Just disavow Duke's endorsement, like Trump did and move on. Which Trump did. But no Trump had to say he knew NOTHING about David Duke.
This was one of the first times I knew we might be in trouble. This is one of the stupidest things to lie about... I just could not figure out why.
Its just a pathological type of reflex for him this constant lying. Then it came to light he had said even more about Duke. But Trump kept denying.
Then I read about the 3000 lawsuits BEFORE the run for president. Bad, bad sign. I just thought he was a clown entertainer/business failure. I did not think people would actually vote for him.
When he won the Republican nomination I knew we truly had a democracy. I remember Boots saying voting was useless.
I guess Boots is dead or something.

He just repeated the same talking points he’s been spouting off, and on the CNN interview went on this weird rant about how Walz doesn’t truly love his wife because he didn’t hug her in front of the cameras I guess. Your critique rings true to many etc in this nations political climate.
Me: I just want the facts. We are adults and for better/worse can generate an elementary understanding of an event. That is why I gravitate towards venues like this where I witness both sides battle. I get a glimpse into both sides.
I'll share this. I explained to my German buddy: Americans get a bad wrap as being ignorant/ill informed. It's arguably the opposite. Americans are bombarded with issues/events from every corner of the globe. Americans find out first and are quickly spun a story of why/how/when they should react. I'm not blaming either political party for this change but it's clear that media is story telling in their reporting. Maybe it is because there is so much competition and half the article has to be a background review of this person/event before reporting what actually occurred.
In Deutschland during an Euro soccer match at Halftime they do current events reporting. It's kinda wild IMO. But the reporting is mostly just factual so it works.
