We have poverty owners who need/want the fees Bally Sports pays.

Dang, the Bally streaming service sucks so much. I was so happy when I was able to delete it!

If the replays continue to have no commercials I can handle one more season.

Probably deferred a year. Sounds like this might be the death throes of Diamond broadcasting. They’re talking chapter 11, which is dissolution, not chapter 7 which is reorganization.

Wish the Spurs could still stop felching ass and do what other teams are doing, like streaming deals or back to basics antenna broadcasts. Shit, even here in Utah, the Jazz have their own local channel that I can get with bunny ears. It's amazing the Spurms are more poverty than teams like the Jazz.

Games would end up on KBVO up here which half the city can't get without a VLA on top of your house. Remember Bally still exists because Amazon is propping it up. Is any other team going to be on Amazon channels this season?

You have this backwards. Chapter 11 is reorg.

Pretty sure you have that backwards

Diamond Sinclair is going down
These busters are going through bankruptcy and bickering with my provider so they pulled all their FSN channels and I've missed an entire summer of MLB content on blacked out channels
I hope they fucking die

The 13 NBA teams are the Detroit Pistons, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Atlanta Hawks, the Charlotte Hornets, the Oklahoma Thunder, the San Antonio Spurs, the Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic.
Mostly smaller market teams, apparently none of which ever stopped to ask "what would be best for our fans?"

Meh, Bally's ended up working fine on at least two platforms for me. I wouldn't trust an in-house streaming solution to be any better. OTA might end up being more expensive if one wants to time shift his viewing.

From my experience the NBA streaming games was worse. With Bally, you could actually start watching from the beginning if you were starting late and fast forward through halftime, for example. Not perfect but I'd dealt with worse.

This is why I reluctantly give them my money every year. Its an acceptable service.

Last year, it was $9.99 a month. For a 6 month regular season, it’s 13-14 games per month, not all of which will be on Bally, but it still works out pretty cheap on a per game basis.
Question for out of market people, is League Pass still the best way to go? Or is there a better route?
Last year was the first year I came back to LP bc of Wemby, and, while i generally thought it was good, I would get annoyed that I still had to buy the shitty NBA TV product to watch the random Spurs games on that platform. I expect this year i'll also have to get Peacock and HBOMax for the same reason.

As long as they get rid of the annoying ASMR montage during commercial breaks I'll be fine.

Spectrum had virtually all NBA reg season games for 100 bucks last season.
Got it to see Wemby.

Apparently Amazon also bailed on doing anything with Bally's. I guess after they won the NBA deal they didn't need it. I'm curious what Ballys does without that Amazon money?

They probably go under faster, leading to Amazon picking up those teams rights.

Blackouts ought to be illegal. You pay for a service and then get cockblocked

Was that supposed to be ASMR?? It sounded super annoying and grating on the ears, like static white noise fading in and out. ASMR is supposed to be pleasant :lol

I'm curious what Ballys does without that Amazon money?I get the feeling Amazon was focusing on the national rights first. Regional deals may have been a fallback or maybe regional deals presented a technical challenge for Channels that would need some time to work out. Becoming a creditor of Bally's probably helps Amazon get an inside track for any existing deals Bally's fails to honor. I imagine baseball complicates things further.

I would mute when ever that would come up.....I prefer to see the same commercial over and over again that this annoying thing. Other than that I really did not have any problems just a few times where it would randomly sign me out during a live stream but they were few and rare occasions.

I may be in the minority here, but I'm sort of tired of the local broadcast team. I know there will be changes, but as much as I love Sean the ninja Elliot, I feel like some fresh blood is needed. Fact, I would probably prefer to listen to the away team broadcast if possible.

No you wouldn't when I watch away team streams they're broadcast teams are boring I can't believe a city like San Antonio that they always call a small Market has one of the best broadcast teams

There are some other team calls that are must listens, like the Knicks. Mike Breen is simply the best. I also enjoy the Charlotte game caller for his insane energy, but man that would get old if it was every game. The Nets callers are good too.
Aside from those guys, our team is pretty top notch. Sure there is some homerism (though Sean has gotten better at that), but that’s kinda the whole point of local broadcasters: excite the base.

Lakers feed is second only to Knicks, the only thing I like about that franchise.
NOLA and Heat are also good.

With league pass they don’t always cut to commercials for game breaks soit’s also nice to have actual chicks for cheerleaders :hitit: versus our game break entertainment.
