We all know pounds alone should not be the only indicator of how a persons overall strenght and workouts are going.
With that being said, SpursTalk has chronicled how beanpoles have fared in NBA history.
Some great, some good, lot's injured.
So, whether you saw him in the aisle at HEB, your girlfriend and Wembys are besties, you had lunch with the strength and conditioning team member or your head is so far up Pops ass you lost oxygen and had a hallucination......
What is Wembys weight status looking like for 2024-25?

Official height/weight measurements come early October. I’m interested if he grew at all y/y.
Too bad Primo isn’t still in the league for an update on those open growth plates!

Oh man, we are at this point of the off season, we just need training camps to open already lol. We did just see Wemby playing basketball a month ago winning a silver medal, he'll look like that. I saw some random clips from his 2 summer league games last year and that Wemby compared to Olympic Wemby looked to be 12-14 lbs heavier

I imagine he will weigh somewhere between 100 pounds and 100 stones.

He ate for some time in the Olympic canteen, known for lacking protein, so maybe he lost weight... :hungry:
Compared to an American and French lifestyle, there is a difference in protein and sugar intake. French athletes often have more problems adapting their diet to professional sport. I would already be curious to know how his family, which according to its own words, eats healthily (understandably, with lots of vegetables), but which is also a family of athletes, manages this question of protein intake. Athletes or not, when the French change their lifestyle and settle in the USA, it is quite common to hear them say that they quickly gained weight, because of sugar and proteins.
So I would be even more curious to know how he changed his habits in Texas. His agent lives in Dallas and has had to deal with this issue before with his clients, but I'm willing to bet Victor eats organic or vegetarian or something like that. In which case, for example, he might gain muscle mass, but not at all from hormone-doped meats or huge portions of steak found in the era (or the famous protein tacos). Rather by eating three kilos of tofu and lentils per day.
Maybe a journalist already asked Victor about his diet and how he was gaining mass (protein), but I didn't see anything.
For the rest, you have to be very careful with the speed at which he gains weight. Before gaining muscles, it is the tendons that must be strengthened to support possible muscle mass gain. And no one yet knows the weight which will allow Victor to no longer be bothered by the small forwards taking him on the hip and which will make him unstoppable on drives. It is possible that he does not need to gain mass that much and that by learning to play on his speed, thanks to inertia, no one will be able to oppose him in the paint once in movement.
Some muscles in the shoulders, lower back, hips and hamstrings. I would be rather reassured if he gained as much as last year and is not trying to gain weight too quickly.
Wait for the weight, tofu fan.

Lol you don’t need a doctor to give you guidelines at a resto if you have half a brain and a burger is perfectly fine for an NBA athlete even if it is from Whataburger.

Maybe that's fine, I doubt that the burger is part of the routine or the exceptions that Victor allows himself, though.
If he wants to have "fun" with a meal, I would lean more towards a kebab, a dessert, a good cassoulet "en famille" followed by a big cheese platter or a taco party to please the Texans. And I think that Victor is not even the type to indulge in certain excesses that other NBA players allow themselves. He grew up in the Parisian suburbs and spent some time in the most gastronomic city in France, Lyon, so I doubt he will find any "pleasure" in rushing for a burger. A French person will enjoy getting together with his friends or family around a table for hours. Not by allowing himself, exceptionally or not, a “junk food” meal.
And all this even though it is certain that with such a metabolism at 20 years old, eating bad food would have no short-term consequences. The question is how he sources healthy foods and, personally, I am especially curious to know how he manages his protein intake.

I’m curious as to how he will adapt to American toilet paper when he wipes his ass. I hear frenchmen prefer pink toilet paper versus some good ol’ American Charmin. Also does he wipe front to back or back to front like a man? Given his wing span both appear appropriate but will he conform to US cultural wiping standards? The aftermath of a Texas taco party can get messy and I wouldn’t want him to injure himself…

I was joking but yes I’m familiar with a bidet. Not exactly a US staple outside of people’s homes. Maybe in luxury rooms. Hopefully Wemby will be able to safely wipe his ass. My point is the speculation about his diet sounds silly. Of course he has the resources and obviously possesses the maturity to utilize them for his health. This doesn't preclude him from being normal lol

Rest assured, in this area, the massive use of the daily shower which is an import of the American way of life model is much more established in France than the bidet. I've only ever seen a bidet in French homes... in my own childhood home. Its use is not intended to wipe the ass, but to wash the genitals given that French women have sex between three and four times a day. For my part, as a child, I used it to wash... my feet. I would be curious to know if Victor had one installed though. Perhaps a question a journalist should ask him. Thank you for putting the subject on the bidet.
I confirm that here we prefer pink toilet paper, but I would not want to speak for all my fellow citizens and I have not yet spoken to my dietitian about it. I'll think about talking to her about it the next time I see her in the boudoir between two visits to the bidet. Cheese.

Easily purchased and installed. I'll bet Wemby has 4 of them at his pad.

When I said that French women made love between three and four times, I never said that it was with the same man. So Victor could just as easily settle for a taco eater (male or female, let's not prejudge the kinds of cheese Victor likes to have on his platter).

If Wemby is still dominant or near dominant at 40 then absolutely his defensive presence alone would push him over the top. That said, Bron has been the best man on the court for most every game for which he's ever suited up and even still at age 40, which is insane.

Who said anything about MVPs?
First off, I said "dominant," referring to LeBron's near unmatched level of play for most all 20 years he's been in the NBA.
Secondly, youre the one introducing "most valuable" into the equation, although Bron also had 4 MVPs if we're counting.
Third,, Bron is easily and universally recognized as the first or second best basketball player ever, like of all time only ever being outranked by Michael Jordan. So please stop with this ridiculousness. LeBron is still so good, he'd be probably the best free agent signing at age 40 if he went to another team.
And lastly, even at age 40, the guy people claim is better than Timmy (he's not), Anthony Davis has yet to take the reins from Bron in Lakerland and make it his, as people have been saying for years that he'd do. He still hasn't. It's still Bron's team.
So again I repeat, if Wemby is even close to as dominant as Bron is at his age, then we're damn lucky fans to have had 50 years of collective dominance by that time out of Robinson, the Big 3, and now Wemby.
