View Full Version : Have the Chiefs and Patty become Brady / Kirby Bryant level rigging?

I had thought nothing could top the LA Fakers Kirby Bryant rigged title run era's. With 2002 being the topper.
But lo and behold along came the Golden Phaggots, aka Lakers North and damned if we didn't see riggin on a Lakers level.

Similarly nothing could top the Cheatriots and Bradys Ref Aide could it?

Well we're seeing it right now. Chiefs would be 2-1 at best, and could be 1-2 without the rigged calls. The ATL rig is not even debatable.
With the addtion of Taylor Swift and 10 million potential additional money spending phans......

Could and will the Ref Aide continue on and reach Brady levels of longevity?

You know the NFL is getting a huge return on their investment for this:

I wondered why the NFL of all sports felt the need to manufacture a Star but look at the state of the Quarterback positon today.

Americans are force fed this narrative of how NFL is the top echelon of athletic talent... the talent pool is tiny. And that's how you end up with a 3x Super Bowl MVP with a 85 passer rating & 7-5 TD/Int ratio.

We got played by the NFL and continue watching.

I can find you a play like this for every team on every game in NFL history. There are more missed calls in the NFL, than correct calls.

No, you can't find one like that on the final play to decide who gets into the Bowl.

Oh wait, you could find another Patty one.
And many Brady ones probably.

It was called a late hit.
FFS do you really not remember the 23 AFC title game. The same play where Chiefs had 3 extreme holds
Even with the late hit it's offsetting and Overtime.

Blake

It was called a late hit.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens took a turn in the fourth quarter when Roquan Smith laid a late hit on Patrick Mahomes after a run to the sideline.

Mahomes clearly went out of bounds to gain a first down on the play, and Smith made contact with the reigning Super Bowl MVP well after he passed the sideline.

Referees failed to call a penalty on Smith, and the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium let out a roar when they saw the replay of the illegal hit on the jumbotron...."

What is the backstory on Collins throat grab?
Not cool at all. Should have been called.
However what, if anything did Patricia do to get that rise out of Collins?

SuperLamar got helmet crowned by a Buccaneer with a 7 step head start. 10Xs as bad as Collins throat grab.

I am asking if something happened on a prior play.
By Patty or by any Chief.

Could it have been one of their many eggregious holds that had Collins fuming and he took it out (incorrectly) on Patty?

Why doesn't ref blow the whistle at that time he "grabbed his shoulder sleeve"

No some slight delay. Clearly waited until after the Jets INT to call.

Probably the same reason NBA refs sometimes wait for a player to miss a layup to call a foul. There's no reason to stop the flow of a game if the infraction doesn't affect the play. Once you see the infraction did indeed affect the game, you call it. Simple as that.

Looks like Chiefs #11 is also grabbing and holding the Jets db. For about 2 yards they appear to be exchanging grasps. Tough call.
But sure if the ref is going to call it, call it at the time it happens.

To the contrary at play is # of fouls on defender as well as # of team fouls affecting bonus.

Who initiated the contact? If it was the DB then it's illegal contact after 5 yards. It's pretty clearly a defensive penalty there. You're really reaching.

MultiTroll
10-26-2024, 12:13 PM
Who initiated the contact?
Kind of hard to say.
#1 Jets Db
#11 Chiefs WR

Ball was snapped at the 40. While Jet makes the 1st contact within 1 yard, it's perfectly legal.
4 1/2 yards later just before the 35 yard line Jet again initiates contact, but Chief immediately responds with his own contact. Regardless, still within 5 yards. Legal, no call.
35 yard line both players are def stiff arming each other.
34-33 yard line i can see where Jet def has hand and arm around Chief and could be rung up for PI. However the camera angle does not show what Chief is doing with his own hands, particularly his right arm. Suggests he could be likewise wrapped around Jets shoulder.
30 yard line appears Chief is grabbing Jets jersey and using it as leverage to propel fwd.

Conclusion. Jets db could have been rung up at 33-34 yard line mark. Ref decides to let them play on. When he sees much later INT by Jets, throws the Patty Flag.
34 yard line Chief fakes like he was going to run an out, instead plants foot and is going to continue straight up. Jets db has now moved to the outside of Chief.
