Big names/ Hot take?
Brunson and PG13
Brunson would have been #3 if I did 3.
My reasoning is something that happened after the ASG last year. The officiating changed, allowing more defensive contact, and disallowing a lot of the foul hunting that had been the norm. There was discussion about it on some pods with Simmons and Rusillo in the spring, and I just saw one today with Simmons and Kirk Goldsberry, and Kirk brought it up as one of the five things for this NBA season. Now, you might agree that this is or is not happening, but according to Goldsberry, Vegas has taken notice. They had a lot more unders than overs after the ASG in every betting category involving scoring, and that’s bad for business from a payout standpoint.

If the league cracks down on foul hunting, there goes a lot of SGA's effectiveness. Dude gets calls out the wazoo and lives at the line.

Wemby after he's traded to Lakers and has to learn to coexist with LeBron and SGA

That was my logic too for Brunson, small guards might be the 1st "victims"
Age and "letting up" post last deal of is career for PG13

Haliburton.
Good choice
He's already is on a terrible trend since the ASG and getting the jackpot won't help

Lebron james will have a season ending injury by January.
Paul George is gonna get chewed up and spit out by Philly fans, and I’m here for it. East Coast fans are a different breed.

If Ja and Ant struggled it would really help our chances but they will prolly be fine…
Trae Young. He grew out the beard of a man who knows bad days are ahead.

Lebron and his kid flying in such bad weather to get to a meaningless game when the LAPD were grounded::::

Memphis will be good this year if they don’t get annihilated by injuries again this year , but I don’t see them as good as they were three years ago, and the wolves are not going to be as good as they were last year.
My reason is, for both, and I know everyone will laugh at me for this, is slo-mo. Anderson is the guy who directs defensive traffic well, almost like a slower, less crazy Draymond green, and he never got that credit. The grizzlies were still good two years ago without him but wasn’t as good as the l year before and the wolves will go through the same this year. The wolves was that good last year because of defense and while gobert got a lot of that credit for that improvement, I felt Anderson (and to an extent Conley) should get some of that credit too.
We will see, people see the superstars as being the vast majority of a teams success, but in todays nba the team construction is just as, if not more, important.

And KAT for the same reason

Brunson was still awesome in the playoffs so i dont see that pick. and he is going to have more help around him this year with Bridges and KAT. otherwise i'd love it if Trae struggles given the status of that unprotected pick, but i see no reason why he would particularly struggle.
1) Harden is a good pick though. he's getting old and the Clips have lost some pieces. even the reliable vet Tucker is on the way out.
2) Fox from sacto. going to have a more awkward role with another on-ball player in derozan taking a lot of the possessions. fox is a solid but not very good off-ball player. the spacing also gets cramped with derozan which will mitigate his speed

1. Harden: certified chucker with a regrowing ego. He is about to make chucker Russ look like DWade.
2. PG13: sweet boy who got paid and is all too comfy being number 3 till he his number is called and you realize he is #6.
2b. Wild card as technically not a Spurs player but Coach Pop “it’s just basketball” plus an election year is destined for failure :pop:

And KAT for the same reason
Imo we'll have to wait for the POs for him to be exposed (again)
RS is going to overhype him, he'll feast on open 3s

I'll go out on a limb and say Ben Simmons and Bronny James.
