:lol. This guy hates EVERY coach, and is like a white version of screamin’ A Smith. I actually thought he was having a stroke in the middle of one of his videos.

im glad the awful coaching guy toned down the yelling again. that aspect of his videos seems to come and go. his content is actually watchable when he's not screaming

it also can get repetitive. sometimes he does a better job of emphasizing poor help defenders, lack of timely rotations, etc. but when you just get mad at drop coverage 15 straight times, the point is well made by then

Maybe another poster who hates Pop should make a third thread about this?

Once pop is gone things will start to get better

It will be interesting to see how vocal Coach Pop is about non basketball stuff while not critiquing himself or his star players in a year the media is semi focusing on him and our team with moderate expectations.

My biggest fear is sitting right next to Pop.
If Brett Brown gets the job, might aswell relocate the team.

Well according to some clown on Youtube in Tim Legler's top 10 players all time video (he didn't choose TD in his top 10), this guy in the comments claims TD wasn't a good leader. Kept banging on about the Olympics and Pop being the leader. I was going to debate him as his takes pissed me off, but yeah, would have wasted a lot of time so I had to pull back and let it go.

“Pull a fan from the stands” is legit 80% of the current roster

When healthy our starting 5 is okay. Maybe even good if Devin comes back strong. It's our bench unit that is basically G League at this point.

I love Pop, but agree... Pop coaches as if it's still 2003... Drop coverage is a MAJOR reason we have been one of the worst defenses for years despite having decent to great individual defenders... Also a reason our 3 point defense is usually among the league's worst... You can literally see opposing teams hunt for the drop coverage to take wide open shots

He likes Wemby. I think he did a positive one last year, too, but neither is in keeping with his theme of coaching videos. He’s just a touch bipolar, too.

Popovich was a "basketball genius" when Tim Duncan played. Without Tim, he's about as effective as you'd expect a former Pomona-Pitzer coach would be in the NBA.

Apparently Pop is having health problems (a flare up of his TDS probably?). Maybe the Spurs will bring in a decent coach if his illness doesn't get resolved quickly?

The old man should take as much time as he needs, life is fragile! If he wasn’t a great coach, his coaching tree wouldn’t yield such great returns.

You're right. I should't have worded it so strongly. I probably should have said "a flare up of his TDS possibly?"

What the fuck is TDS? I'm guessing it's some made up BS.

Some losers that cry because Pop criticizes another loser.

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is an affliction that causes otherwise rational people to completely lose their mind at the mere mention of the name Donald Trump. Symptoms can include sudden onset of otherwise inexplicable rage, paranoia, cursing, foaming at the mouth, and howling at the moon. Often accompanied by ranting, including frequent screaming of the terms "Nazi", "fascist" and "Hitler!."

There are no known cures, but treatments that sometimes alleviate symptoms include warm soy milk and cookies served by a cute puppy in a safe space.
