Big difference between his middling box score stats and his play, some of it rookie calls (e.g not getting the call on the drive to the rim where Green hacked the shit out of him, a few good passes that didn't lead to assists (e.g on the Collins lob that led to free throws, dime to cutting Branham blocked at the rim),
Turnovers on marginal carry (I generally like that kind of delayed dribble/ side of the ball handling being called, but it's not always ) and a good read but miscommunication on timing between him and Sochan.

Definitely some rookie moments, but limited.

Indeed, I understand how much they value him. But I don't think he's a winning player. I think Jokic being in the league is giving them the impression that that archetype is innately valuable rather than Jokic being exceptional (and bigger and even more talented). Right now, the Rockets have so many different directions they can go in, and I think Sengun is possibly the weakest.

I actually dont have any qualms about his 3s (except when he really over shoots and even then, you just got to let him be.) My issue is with the long fadeaway jumpers around the elbow and baseline. Inefficient shots that just look ugly as hell when they miss.
