"Many years ago a cnady maker wanted to make a candy that would symbolize the true m eaning of Christmas- Jesus.
The hard candy was shaped like a J to symbolize the Jesus was our rock of ages. The candy was made of white to stand for the purness of Jesus. The red represents the blood that Jesus shed to save us from our sins."
I had no idea.

the serious answer to the barberpole question is that it had nothing to do with cutting hair. Back in the 1700's there were few doctors and the accepted treatment for many ailments was "bleeding" the patient...and barbers did this...the pole symbolizes blood and bandages...
*fun facts to know and tell*...:lol

So that the beauty of Christ's love would be reflected in our breath.
