The Clippers are on the 2nd night of a back-to-back with a close win over the Pelicans. Zubac again with 14 big boards. The last time they played the Spurs, Zubac had 13 rebounds with 10 offensive, as the Clippers rallied from a big 26 point deficit to beat the Spurs. The Spurs cannot give the veteran Clippers too many 2nd chances. And it’s going to be a big challenge for Sochan to help control the rebound. Coming from a disappointing 1-3 road trip, the Spurs need a homecoming win to welcome the new year! I’m counting on Harden staying out late at a strip club celebrating early. Spurs by 6pts. Because Zach theoretically spaces the floor more than Bassey. The second unit has Castle and Tre in it, two non shooters. Then add in Keldon who is shooting less than 30% from 3 on the season.

Underwhelmed by Vassell's performance after I've been pimping him, but otherwise, extremely impressed by this game. I think we're play-in bound, maybe even play-off bound. CP3 is the biggest part of that (compared to last season). Just hope Sochan is ok.

Speaking of which, Wemby brushing Zubac aside with ease was what really set the overall tone. The new bulked up Wemby is something to behold, bullying other centers with his height and quickness while not being pushed around like last year.
