11 pt lead to start the 4th and we lost the game in OT. We couldn't make a shot inside or out. We had horrible turnovers. Our rebounding sucked. We missed more free throws. Jokic once again was allowed to do whatever he wanted with plenty of help from the zebras. The Nuggets couldn't buy a 3 in the first half, but couldn't miss in the 2nd.

I am so sick of the Spurs acting like a WNBA team in the paint. Is there another NBA team that misses more shots with 3 ft of the basket than the Spurs. As a team, they seem to miss 10+ close range shots a game. Not only do they miss, but they rarely get the offensive rebounding.

Wemby... as mature of a person he seems to be is still an NBA player with a whole lot to learn. He needs to learn an "old man game". He really needs to look at someone like Pau Gasol that was famous for never bringing the ball down low and capitalizing on his 7' frame. Watch the tape... the man always shot without dribbling when in the post.

Furthermore. This type of game is exactly when Vassell, if he is who most of Spurs Talk Vassell Suckers say he is, needs to take the approach of alpha scorer. I'm not an over the top fan for him but I do recognize he as pretty good game. He can definitely take over a game if he has the right mindset. He gives us some bits of this at any given moment.

We need to make a trade ASAP to get a bonified 1 alpha or 1a alpha that doesn't give a fuck about "wemby being the future". I still think Tre Young could care less AND most importantly will garner the "appropriate fear" from NBA teams as well as has the respect of the Officials. If we can get him on the cheap cheap Jimmey Butler would suffice. Fox is another player that could help immensely but I fear he's kinda Beta to Wemby or at least will have that attitude.

In no specific order.. Spurs should aggressively try for someone with balls:

Tre Young
Fox
Butler (on the cheap otherwise fuck him)
Booker (not sure how they would do this except they are underachieving)
Herro
Lauri (since they suck still)
Force a trade by over spending on some elite person.

The Spurs won't because they have no balls and are playing Marty (Schottenheimer) Ball. Maybe you won't understand Mary Ball so look it up fool!

Wemby... as mature of a person he seems to be is still an NBA player with a whole lot to learn. He needs to learn an "old man game". He really needs to look at someone like Pau Gasol that was famous for never bringing the ball down low and capitalizing on his 7' frame. Furthermore. This type of game is exactly when Vassell, if he is who most of Spurs Talk Vassell Suckers say he is, needs to take the approach of alpha scorer. I'm not an over the top fan for him but I do recognize he as pretty good game. He can definitely take over a game if he has the right mindset. He gives us some bits of this at any given moment.

We need to make a trade ASAP to get a bonified 1 alpha or 1a alpha that doesn't give a fuck about "wemby being the future". I still think Tre Young could care less AND most importantly will garner the "appropriate fear" from NBA teams as well as has the respect of the Officials. If we can get him on the cheap cheap Jimmey Butler would suffice. Fox is another player that could help immensely but I fear he's kinda Beta to Wemby or at least will have that attitude.

In no specific order.. Spurs should aggressively try for someone with balls:

Tre Young
Fox
Butler (on the cheap otherwise fuck him)
Booker (not sure how they would do this except they are underachieving)
Herro
Lauri (since they suck still)
Force a trade by over spending on some elite person.

Coaches lost. Spurs were struggling with their outside shot in the 4th. They couldn't find enough legs to break down the defense. Usually that's when you look at the bench. You look at Castle, Jones, or even Branham or Mamu, to find four points. But Mitch didn't. Sticks with Barnes that was getting colder as the night went on. The silver lining is the Spurs played some serious basketball against a really good team B2B. The veteran team won at the OT. Again being able to close the game for a young team. I can try to nitpick some, CP3 and Sochan could’ve scored more. More Bassey/Mamu on Jokic to give him different looks. Mamu actually had good games against him in the past. And maybe pick your poison. If they’re going to let Jokic score 46 pts, then don’t let other players erupt like Porter.

That's on the spurs fo if he's the highest player but this roster is full of players on rookie contracts or an over the hill player in Paul or role players like Barnes or Johnson.

Higher draft picks are expected to bring back a higher return. Of course there are several exceptions but generally your top players in the league are the higher draft picks.

Sorry Dejounte my man, there really isn’t anything I can say because the comment was void of content that it meant nothing.

The spurs have improved immensely from last year on both offence and defence. On offence I can say it is due to having a full time actual PG running actual sets it the team has really improved the defence this year. It’s no where close to what they can be as having wemby in the middle should single-handedly elevate the team to a top 10 offence. There are still issues with defensive schemes (I felt we are defending the 3 pt line much better this year but have to look up the numbers to verify) but we should take advantage of having wemby to pressure the ball and create more turnovers, and also crashing the offensive boards more consistently when we have wemby as a one man fast break stopper. It could put too much strain on wemby but it could be deployed in spurts. Another way is to have bassey actually learn those damned plays and take on the paint patroller role.

On offence I really don’t know, sochans outside shot progression is a huge disappointment so far but it may be because his development in other areas, which was quite good. He can’t play with castle because of it as many have pointed out but I think with three other shooters and wemby it would be a great offense. With wemby being the focal point of the offense, three shooters opening up the lane and sochan cutting and getting offensive boards it would be a hard offence to stop. Only we don’t have three shooters and no way in hell sochan deserves to have an offense designed around him.

Let’s hope and pray both castle and sochan can shoot 1000 jumpers everyday this summer and then into somewhat average shooters. They can’t both play a big role on the team and while sochan is an uncommon archetype castle is way more valuable.
