Go Broncos! They won there last year and with a worse QB, so they can win there this year.
This year has mostly been a shitty NFL season tbh though, but at least the Chiefs have home field and not shitass Buffalo.

That said, I don't see Buffalo really getting past Baltimore if Lamar doesn't shit the bed against Pittsburgh like he often does. The Ravens completely throttled and manhandled Buffalo in their head-to-head and that's a defense that can't really stop the run and thus matches up very poorly against Baltimore. Yes the home/away is different this time but a strong run game like Baltimore's travels well. And their defense has gotten much better in the second half of the season, too, while Buffalo's has gotten worse.

I trust Lamar Jackson in the playoffs as far as I can throw him tbh, and the Ravens defense is abysmal this season.

I trust Lamar Jackson in the playoffs as far as I can throw him tbh, and the Ravens defense is abysmal this season.
I trust Josh Allen in the playoffs as far as I can throw him too, and he's much bigger than Lamar and I weigh 145 which is almost certainly less than you.
Baltimore's defense during the recent win streak has been excellent. Their defense in the first half of the season was very bad (except for the Buffalo win), succumbing to bad teams like the Raiders, which artificially pushed down their overall statistics.
Baltimore has looked like juggernauts lately, Justin Tucker's leg is finally back, and their defense under Zach Orr has dramatically improved lately. Their secondary getting healthy at the right time has been essential. As long as Lamar doesn't have to use his arm to single handedly win they should beat Buffalo. Keep in mind they have a stellar o-line, Henry, and very BQB-friendly run blocking tight ends who can also catch reliably in Andrews and Likely. Hopefully they get Flowers back healthy for that game, he shouldn't be missed too much against Pittsburgh though.

Tucker in shambles. At that point Buffalo is equal if not better roster.

:lmao I argued against Jackson being MVP last year, but this year he absolutely deserves it. People buy into recency bias and overrate getting the #1 seed. Last year Lamar's stats were very middling and he was much more of a bus driver a-la 2019 Aaron Rodgers. Legion of Boom era Struggle Wilson et al.
Trash Allen plays in THE WORST division in the NFL and it isn't close.
This year Lamar's stats more or less resemble 2020 Aaron Rodgers, 41+ TD to only 4 INT absolutely deserves MVP, and that's not even counting his rushing TDs and yards. Jackson absolutely deserves it this year. If not him, then Saquon Barkley 100% deserves it, it hasn't gone to a non-QB since 2012 and Barkley is absolutely deserving, well over 2,000 yards in only 16 games, and the Eagles had a better record than Buffalo in a much stronger division. If not him, then yes they missed the playoffs but Burrow with his stats far surpassing Allen's, Burrow was the only thing keeping Cincinnati above a two-win team and getting them to a winning record at all.
Meanwhile Trash Allen gets to bake beef-on-weck cakes back there for hours without any pressure behind the perennially most stacked/ most pampered sus offensive line in the NFL for five years running that, hmm, mysteriously, auspiciously, suspiciously, never gets called for offensive holding, similarly sus to those early and mid 2010s Packers teams. He's had as "bus driver" of a season as it gets. We have ourselves a new pretty boy and he wears #17 for Ontario.

James Cook far and away the Bills' MVP, of course bolstered by that offensive line that mysteriously hasn't gotten called for holding since 2020.

Agree. I had known this since 2004-2005 with the hurricanes. Red Cross is a top heavy profiteering organization that took 92% of people's donations during the 2004 hurricane season for their own personnel's salaries/ profit while the storm victims got the shaft, and they had the audacity to pull the same pathos marketing shit in 2005 for Katrina and the rest, it was nauseating back then and still is now.
Go Packers? I guess
I knew Denver had next to no chance. The best thing they and KC could have done was play their starters and beat a lousy Denver team last week instead of gift wrapping them that easy win because Cincinnati would have absolutely stood a chance today. The score wasn't indicative of the game and it takes star power to win playoff games, not Denver's stupid green committee approach and a rookie QB.

they won't be, except maybe the Chiefs over Houston by a mile, and it's possible that Detroit could curbstomp the overachiever Redskins. I fully expected Tampa to win that game but that fluke turnover on the handoff exchange was the difference in the game, usually it isn't.
Rams at Eagles... gonna be a tough matchup for LA. Saquon murdered them last time out. The Rams have top flight offensive weapons, but problem is so do the Eagles, and they have a QB and HB who can run, run, run... and their defense is tougher. Will take some Herculean stuff from Stafford, Kupp, Nacua, Higbee etc to keep them in the game, and then at least one fluke play on defense or special teams to go their way, kind of like the way they beat Buffalo 44 to 42. They will have to win a shootout and limit time of possession because the Eagles will just grind you out, they're so damn physical and they've had the best offensive line in the league for the last like 12-13 years ever since Lane Johnson came into the league. The Rams will need to score multiple touchdown drives early in the game if they want to compete and win, earn the right to stop Saquon and rush Hurts. Field goals won't cut it. They need to be aggressive, which isn't necessarily Sean McVay's archetype as it is Sirianni's. They basically need a perfect game on offense like they did against Buffalo.

Everyone shifting the blame to Andrews as if Lamar didn't throw an awful int straight towards a Bills player, had a fumble that led to a Bills td, and a failed 2pt conversion with Likely wide open on the edge of the red zone which forced them to go for 2 at the end again.
It all adds up in a game that close and with Bills not turning the ball over.

Saints, Giants, Niners (if they overpay Purdy), Jaguars, maybe you can throw in Raiders and Bears because of the divisions they play in respectively.... maybe you can arguably throw the Jets in there as well considering their lack of ability to ever find a competent coach and offense. Their defense is decent when it's healthy.
I'd argue even though a playoff team the Steelers are in a rough spot too because of the Wilson contract + having the most expensive defense in the NFL and also one of the oldest defenses, they're going to fall of and/or retire soon and leave behind a lot of dead cap money, and we know that in their current form they can't hang with the best teams in the league.
Basically teams that have massively bloated salary cap with really awful contracts and not much upward mobility because of the cap and teams without a direction, have the bleakest futures. Dallas doesn't seem to have direction and they easily could have been just fine off this offseason in year 1 of the rebuild if they hadn't extended Prescott in week 1 of 2024. Let both Prescott and McCarthy go, keep Lamb, trade Parsons for a ton of picks and start over the way the Lions did in 2021.
At least other bottoming teams like the Patriots, Browns, Titans, even the Panthers have upward mobility and tons of cap room and draft capital. Teams that should be on the rise, even if slowly, in 2025.

You overrate the Cap. Almost every QB is over paid in todays NFL. Winners roster construct around it. The meat of the roster is in and out the door within 4 seasons. Need to draft well and especially in later Rounds to replenish the roster.
Edit: compare the '23 and '24 Passer Rating leaders. It's a constant flip flopping list. Every QB is overpaid tbh
Teams with lots of Cap continue to lose
Teams with little Cap continue to win
Cap is overrated.

McCaffrey is done and they can't afford to keep Samuel or Greenlaw. Heck, even Kittle is on the chopping block, potentially. Trent Williams is on his last legs, will retire sooner than later. Purdy is an average QB and a below average league starter and a system QB at best. The fact he's young and more mobile than a Garoppolo is a plus, but as a passer he's about the same as ole Jimmy. Their overall roster as a result is probably about league average at best.

Barring injuries, they're not better than the Rams in '25. Seattle has a decent team but their QB is basically 2019 Jameis Winston. They replace Geno with an upgrade who's even a solid bus driver and they're back in playoff contention. Arizona also isn't terrible as long as Murray is healthy, they're the same roughly .500 team they were this year.
They play the NFC South and AFC South in 2025 so it's likely the NFC West will have some of the best records in the conference overall in '25, maybe with all four teams at or above .500 if healthy, but it's going to be a competitive and tough decision. No team in that division reeks of utter incompetence.

49ers will overpay Purdy and be back in the NFCCG
Coaching (need solid DC hire)
Health
Schedule
You overrate the Cap. Almost every QB is over paid in todays NFL. Winners roster construct around it. The meat of the roster is in and out the door within 4 seasons. Need to draft well and especially in later Rounds to replenish the roster.
Edit: compare the '23 and '24 Passer Rating leaders. It's a constant flip flopping list. Every QB is overpaid tbh
Teams with lots of Cap continue to lose
Teams with little Cap continue to win
Cap is overrated.
I think you hit the nail on the head in terms of consistent roster construction. The second biggest factor in terms of being a team that consistently wins in the playoffs vs a regular choke artist (Chargers, Dallas, Minnesota, etc) is being in a northern city (KC included) with low IQ white trash fans, outdoor stadium, and harsh cold climate. If both teams are pretty even, there's a huge difference in going on the road to a warm weather climate indoor facility with a bunch of rich fagg0ts like LA, Dallas, and Miami vs having to go on the road to a place like Pittsburgh or Philadelphia where a bunch of hillbillies with missing teeth or pelting you with snowballs and yelling the N word over and over. Ironically though, the 49ers have been the one anomaly in this regard because their teams over the last decade have just been more physical than the others.
If I were a billionaire owner, I'd buy a team in a terrible climate and then have an Idiocracy type tiering system to determine who gets front row seats. Have everyone who purchases tickets take an online IQ test. Give everyone a score where the lower IQ the more points you get. For every point lower than 100, they get +1 point. Additional points for criminal record, missing teeth, out of wedlock children etc. Those with the highest score get the front row seats and then you start filling the seats upward with more civilized functioning members of society. For a playoff game, I'd probably throw in a free six pack for anyone in the lower bowl tbh

Seems like that's when the Refs decided to start giving Mahomes the Brady treatment. And that's the really sad part because Andy Reid and Mahomes had already proven that they are more than good enough to win without the Refs aiding them even a tiny bit.

Same reason people watched the NBA in early 2000s, hoping that someone would beat the Lakers despite having to play 5 v 8.
Idk why you are acting like Refs favoring one team is some unheard of concept that's never ever been done in any sport whatsoever. You know better bro. Shits been happening across all sports for a long time. It's just not always as blatant as the 2002 Lakers vs Kings.
It's usually with some subtlety, but you can still tell when one team gets getting the benefit of the doubt in a vast majority of 50/50 calls.

8 of their last 11 playoff wins have been a 1 possession games. May be the Chiefs would've all of them without getting crucial drive sustaining calls. But we don't know for sure because the Refs keep putting their stamp on the games.
Lets not consistently give Mahomes calls that every other QB is lucky to get once in a while. Everyone needs to be judged by the same damn rule book.
Is that really too much to ask for?

Literally both of the calls(you know the ones) from last week. Every other QB would be lucky get just 1 of those called in their favor. Mahomes got both.
In other games...
We saw Goff get hammered but no call. Mahomes gets that call 100/100 times.
Daniels get hit a little late while going out of bounds but no call. Mahomes gets that call 100/100 times.
I'm not gonna go back and watch all 11 of his last wins and game to time stamp each and every single call you. I wish I had that kind of spare time on hand.
Seems like you are not willing to take off your homer glasses. I might do the same were I in your shoes. In fact, I will be the same once Wemby starts getting special treatment from the Refs.
But if you ever do consider watching the game without them on, you will see that there is some merit to what I'm saying.
Refs are not the only reason the Chiefs are winning. Only an idiot would think or say that. But it sure is good to have be vigilant when it comes to looking out for your best player.

Imma be honest and say that the two calls from last week, I wouldn't have called. That said, the first one looked like a clear hit to the head on real time. Beaner ESPN even called that at first glance. The play even got reviewed by video officials and mantained the call becuase there was contact helmet to helmet.
The second one was bad, but hardly the first time it ever gets called (Josh Allen gets tons of those).
At the end of the day neither call was the difference.
Also, there was literally a play where it seemed like Mahomes got hit out of bounds on this game and it didn't get call. So it's a lie that he gets all the calls.
You not remembering any egregious call in favour of the Chiefs in the playoffs is exactly my point. You don't remember any, because there isn't any. Off the top of my head I can recall mutliple bogus calls Brady used to get. This "Chiefs get all the calls" narrative is based on a colective brain wash of opposing fans convincing themselves of things that actually don't happen in real life.

People forget how close Kaepernick was to a completely different career.
Ravens SB: Crabtree being held continually at the goal line. Hindsight should have ran Gore til the inch but versus Suggs, Lewis and Reed floating... those passes made sense.
Fast forward to the following season and Sherman INT. Kaepernick & Crabtree were badly ridiculed by NFL fans. Leading to collapse in only Year3. And then political activism. Colin remains a sad rise and fall. If only that 1 flag...

I was kinda hoping the Lions made it, because that fan base is starved. Oh well.
They're the best and most talented team in the NFL when fully healthy but the problem is with the very physical style of football they play, similar to the 49ers, they're very rarely going to ever be fully healthy come playoff time.
The Eagles got lucky in 2022 and this year with injuries but last year were absolutely decimated. Buffalo has gotten very lucky with injuries especially on offense in this era, but their time is coming, especially the way Allen runs the ball. Take away Allen's monkeyballing and he's an average quarterback, strong arm sure but mediocre accuracy and he's a birdbrain with situational football.
Also, Amari Cooper sucks ass. Always has. Cowboys fans can chuckle about how he was a big part of why Buffalo didn't get into field goal range on that last drive.

I won't be even upset if the Eagles win this time. I like both teams alright.
Also, I don't think I'm going to be a Cowboys fan again for a very long time if ever. They might get eight or nine wins next year if they stay healthy. But honestly, who cares. Anyone except Buffalo... every year until number seventeen leaves or retires.
