That is for the Chris Paul from Houston to Phoenix trade primarily I would think?

Nah CP3 got traded to OKC for Westbrook. This is from Houston trading Brooklyn the picks they landed for Harden in exchange for the Phoenix picks Brookyln got in the Durant trade which allowed Brooklyn to trade Bridges to New York.

If I'm the Suns, I'm trading Durant for Sheppard and those picks back, tbh.

They are gonna have to give up Booker. He is younger.

If I'm the Rockets I tell them to fuck off, you don't get your future back unless you ship us Booker.

I just googled and: Suns are shopping their 2031 draft pick :lol

Unless you have the #1 pick, there is no other Sports League where the Draft is less important than NBA. Suns will more likely pull off some classic NBA bogus trade and land Butler.

This is because player development can be difficult to predict. Countless examples of early picks being outclassed by later ones or in some cases, undrafted folks.

Kevin Durant's career has gone as poorly as it could have gone as far as the way he'll be remembered. We should be lauding him as an all time game changing talent but instead it will be about him giving in to ring culture and shit talking from fans about being ringless to join a situation where he was guaranteed automatic rings. He then overcompensated by leaving and trying to build things elsewhere, but failing miserably in his selection of running mates be it their attitude or their health issues. All of this while having an absolutely miraculous comeback from the most devastating injury a basketball player can have and not really losing a step. Crazy legacy for sure.

Wild that he was an inch from probably bringing Brooklyn a ring in 2021 though.

People ranked durant in the top 20 but I just can’t agree. Any random star joining the warriors would have guaranteed multiple rings. Fact they only got two, with the warriors winning two more without him, shows how inconsequential his presence in that team was.

His career would’ve been another Tmac without those two rings.

i think just about everybody views those rings with some skepticism. but take out the warriors years and the guy spent most of his career being the clear 2nd best player in the NBA only to lebron james who himself is a top 2 player in nba history

Those years the other choices were harden, Chris Paul, old as dirt duncan and kobe, and rose. Then curry took over.

It’s like saying bin mcadoo was a great player because he was 2nd best to Kareem.

I never really felt Durant was good enough to haul a team to a title, which is what a top 15 talent can do. Durant, if you take away the two warriors titles on those absolutely loaded teams, is really a top 25-30 level.

They can't let go and face a 3-5 year rebuild. And they're still holding out hope for Butler. That would buy them time.

Don't be surprised if New York doesn't step in on their behalf with this crisis. Somehow get Butler here, BB "somewhere" and the money laundered to Butler and BB for the 2 years AFTER the next year-and-a-half. The League owes the Suns for them conspiring to lynch Sarver back 2 years.

That would buy the Suns the balance of this season and 3 more seasons to come...though they'd have to extend Durant the extra 2 years to fulfill the 3 1/2 years of this new BIG 3 (Booker, Durant, Butler). But he/Durant wants that extension.

How fucking happy are you seeing the Sons just trade a 2031 draft pick worth its weight in gold for three absolutely terrible firsts? They're ensured of being complete trash through at least 2032 now. Those firsts they traded for are all worst of between three teams (CLE/MIN/UTA) each year. I mean JFC it's trading a dollar for three nickels.

Somethin' is cooking though. They're not going to permit the Suns to founder here. I can't believe it would all come down to delivering Butler here and relieving them of BB. That's too thin.

Butler isn't the answer. He's reluctant to be that when the pressure is on and seems destined to find an excuse to want out again.

But he'll give it all he's got thru the end of this season with nary expectation. This Media here will grant him grace thru to next January. "It's going to take a while. Sure, if it works in these playoff upcoming fine, but he's going to need time and this team is going to need time to jell and to complete the roster going forward. And I'm willing to give them that time. I am. And so is ownership. Now, a word from The Window Store."

That's why Durant came here and Beal came here and Booker stays here...the media is in the bag.

That's good for you, ensures base minimum an O'fer 65 considering they won't have a real draft pick until 2032. Even if they decide to blow it up and trade Booker to Houston that only gets them two lottery picks back, or three if they do it this year. Phoenix Suns are the worst run franchise since Sterling's Clippers of the 80s.

Hope they lose the rest of the season

A small excerpt from local media about the game...[[[It was 109-103 Spurs with 2:49 to go when the Spurs’ De’Aaron Fox hunted Grayson Allen three straight possessions to score on drives to the rim. A fourth for good measure in transition off a Suns turnover sealed it.]]]

It's funny because they're going to get less than they could have gotten at the deadline since that's one less playoff run from a guy who isn't going to have many left. I think Ishbia's gonna get lowballed to hell.

Yep. Durant has already lost value.

And Booker is no spring chicken. He's been here for 10 years and his legs have always been a problem.

Because the Suns & this media assisted Silver in New York in the lynching of Sarver.

Ishbia traded for Beal knowing he was stuck paying him $50 million a year on an untradeable contract since Beal has a no trade clause. What's another $40 million for the rest of Budenholzer's contract?
