Series tied 2 apiece with Dallas. They are down three points in game 5, with 6 seconds left in the 4th quarter. The Spurs has a full roster present with no major injuries. Who takes the shot?

Finley to eat the Dallas fans heart out?
Nick?
Horry?
Brent?

Tell me.

If the Spurs had a full roster with no major injuries, they would not be tied 2-2 with the Mavericks and in danger of losing Game 5. So the answer is indeterminate.

Oh, and Bruce Bowen is #2 in the league in 3 pt % - you put 4 of those other 7 out there, and he is all alone in "his spot".

That's 8 guys - as many as other teams have in their whole playoff rotations.

HORRY,but if he's doubled or maybe tripled, then as a Spurs fan I will live or die with Manu taking the shot.

Usually it's the guy with the ball.

down three? not duncan then

give me horry on a pick and roll with manu

You mean like a pick and pop, right? If Horry rolls to the basket, he's not shooting a 3.

It isn't a question of who takes the shot, since the defense can at least dictate who DOESN'T get the shot.

So you would have to have on the court: Manu, Horry, Finley, and TD (for the offensive board). The question is who is the fifth man?

Based on career shooting percentages, it probably should be Barry, but I would prefer to have NVE taking it. (same reason I would have Finley out there over Barry)

The actual play would be very similar to Detroit game 5. Get it to Manu (or NVE) first, preferable at the top of the key, and let him create.

If you ran the play 100 times, I'd guess that Finley from the corner would get the most open shot about 40-50% of the time. The other times would be split equally among the other three from the wing areas.

(You figure only a numbskull would ever leave Horry open in that situation. :smokin)

Finley isn't really clutch IMO, I think most Dallas fans would back me up. Barry however has hit big shots for us already so I'd be imc;ines to have him in my lineup.

PG NVE
SG Manu
SF Barry
PF Horry
Cc Duncan
