President Trump solves all gender issues by declaring everyone female:
...
More specifically, the order defines someone female as “a person belonging, at conception to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell,” whilst someone male is a “person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell”.
But anyone with a background in biology will know that all human embryos follow a “female” developmental path until the activation of the SRY gene several weeks after conception, which sparks sexual differentiation.
Embryos with an XY genotype will develop biologically male traits linked to the Y chromosome at around six weeks. Before that point, human embryos only have biologically female traits linked to the X chromosome. In fact, genitalia at conception is “phenotypically female”, as the National Library of Medicine notes.
McBride, who is the first out trans congresswoman, quipped to The Independent that Trump “just declared everyone a woman from conception based on the language of the executive order”.

Except it explicitly says "at conception."
You make a fair point so, let's look at that.
McBride's statement notwithstanding, what does science say?
Well science basically says this; and I'll simplify for you:
All Ovum have a single "X" chromosome. All Sperm have a single chromosome that can either be an "X" or a "Y." If a sperm with the "X" chromosome fertilizes the egg the baby will be a girl. If a sperm with the "Y" chromosome fertilizes the egg the baby will be a boy. And, while it takes a few weeks for sexual organs to start forming, this fact is immutable.
Several sources stated this, in as many words:
"A person’s sex is determined at conception. Males have a set of XY chromosomes and females have a set of XX chromosomes. These sex chromosomes determine whether the embryo develops as a male or female. Initially the gonads in both male and female embryos can develop as either testes or ovaries. Starting at 8 weeks gestation, an embryo with a Y-chromosome produces a factor known as SRY that simultaneously causes the gonads to begin maturing as testes and prevents them from maturing as ovaries. The testes, in turn, produce two important hormones: testosterone and anti-Mullerian Hormone, or AMH. In males, the testes starts producing and releasing testosterone by 10 weeks. Testosterone allows the primitive male anatomy to mature, while AMH causes the primitive female structures to shrivel. The male internal ducts consist of a pair of tubes called the mesonephric ducts that will mature into the vas deferens and epididymis. The epididymis stores sperm, and the vas deferens is the sperm duct. "
Other than being a transgender with an obvious stake in the answer, I'm not sure what McBride's credentials, in the field of human development might be. Do enlighten me.
It's just stupid. EOs can be stupid. Trump can be stupid. You don't have to defend every single thing associated with him.
Not defending the EO. At first, and still, your point is well-taken. I simply think McBride is misrepresenting the fact that AT CONCEPTION, if the sperm (the smaller of the two reproductive cells) fertilizes the ovum (the larger of the two reproductive cells) and is carrying an "X" chromosome, the resulting human will only be able to produce the larger reproductive cell, making it a female. If, on the other hand, the sperm is carrying a "Y" chromosome, when it breaks on through to the other side, the resulting human will only be able to produce the smaller reproductive cell, making it a male.

I'm not sure of you opinion on ChatGPT; I haven't been here in a while but, here's what it says, when I ask the question:
Can one be said to "belong" to the male or female sex at conception?
Yes, one can be said to "belong" to the male or female sex at conception based on biological determinants. At conception, the combination of sex chromosomes from the sperm (either X or Y) and the egg (which always carries an X chromosome) establishes the genetic sex of the embryo:
XX results in female development
XY results in male development
This genetic blueprint directs the subsequent development of reproductive structures and secondary sex characteristics. However, while sex is genetically determined at conception, the physical differentiation of male or female reproductive organs occurs later in embryonic development.
Some rare conditions, such as intersex variations, can complicate this binary classification, but genetically speaking, the assignment to male or female sex is determined at conception.

You may be right for political discussions but, for scientific questions, who has the time to research an answer to such questions, for a political forum?
I went back and asked ChatGPT to source it's response:
"On the question I asked earlier about "belonging" to one sex or the other, what were your sources for that information."
The information I provided about sex determination at conception is based on well-established biological and genetic principles found in disciplines such as embryology, genetics, and developmental biology. Key sources for this information include:
Genetics and Molecular Biology
Standard biology textbooks such as Molecular Biology of the Cell (Alberts et al.) and Genetics: Analysis and Principles (Brooker) explain that the combination of sex chromosomes (XX or XY) at fertilization determines an individual's genetic sex.
The presence of the SRY gene on the Y chromosome typically initiates male development, while its absence leads to female development.
Human Embryology and Developmental Biology
Langman’s Medical Embryology (Sadler) describes how the bipotential gonads differentiate into testes or ovaries based on genetic signals.
The differentiation of internal and external reproductive structures occurs later in gestation, guided by hormonal influences.
Clinical and Medical Research
Studies on sex determination and differentiation (e.g., in journals like Nature Reviews Genetics and The American Journal of Human Genetics) discuss rare conditions like intersex variations, where chromosomal, hormonal, or anatomical differences lead to atypical development.
Official Health and Research Institutions
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) provide clinical guidelines on genetic sex determination and intersex conditions.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes biological sex as distinct from gender but acknowledges the existence of variations in sex development.
Would you like me to provide more technical details or sources on any particular aspect of sex determination?

That has nothing to do with this conversation.
It has everything to do with this conversation. You seem to be the only one bothered by it.
What is the correct identification for an intersex person? You can answer in song form if you think it helps you.
Here, argue with ChatGPT, I agree with it. If I am to understand, most people intersex individuals know their sex. Those that don't, don't care to know because it doesn't impact their life.
Most people who are **visibly intersex at birth** or experience **unexpected biological differences later in life** typically undergo medical evaluations to understand their condition. However, whether an intersex person actively seeks to determine their biological sex depends on several factors:
1. Intersex at Birth (Diagnosed Early)
Doctors usually conduct tests at birth if an infant has ambiguous genitalia (e.g., a mix of male and female anatomical traits).
Parents and doctors may pursue chromosomal, hormonal, and imaging tests to determine medical needs.
Some intersex conditions (e.g., Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome) require medical attention due to hormonal imbalances.
2. Intersex Identified in Adolescence or Adulthood
Some intersex individuals do not realize they are intersex until puberty when they experience:
- Atypical development (e.g., a genetic male (XY) developing breasts or a genetic female (XX) not menstruating).
- Infertility or unexplained medical issues, prompting genetic testing later in life.
- In such cases, individuals may pursue medical evaluations if symptoms lead them to seek answers.
3. People Who Never Seek Testing
- Many mild intersex conditions (e.g., XXY Klinefelter Syndrome, mild Androgen Insensitivity) may go undiagnosed for life, especially if they do not cause noticeable differences.
- Some intersex individuals choose not to investigate further because:
- They do not experience significant health or identity issues.
- They do not feel the need to classify themselves strictly as male or female.
- Cultural, religious, or personal beliefs make them hesitant to explore their biological sex further.
Conclusion
Most visibly intersex individuals undergo medical evaluations at birth or during puberty, but many others never seek testing if they do not experience health complications or identity concerns. For some, the question of "biological sex" may not feel personally relevant.
The only intersex individuals not addressed in the EO are those with Klinefelter Syndrome but, these are all males and, according to The Chatmeister, their most common symptoms would not cause one to have gender dysphoria. In fact, most males don't even know they have it until after puberty.
So, again, what's your beef with the Executive Order?

If you're going to eliminate every scenario for child rape you need to first ban the Southern Baptist Convention, the Catholic Church and the Boy Scouts. Tell me the first four results you get using those terms.

Never mind the unfair advantage their biology affords them. Hell, even the IOC came around and changed their stupid rules. So the actual answer is zero.
I believe sports federations can figure that out without federal interference. Playing a sport isn't a right either way.

The average child molester in the US is a white, straight male family member or acquaintance of the victim. The demagoguery of the danger of trans is insanely detached from reality.
Classic blood libel, tbh
