TD 21

Somehow (Mr. Burns is Indestructible (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI0euMFAWF8)), I'm still around. I may not be as energetic or have as razor sharp a memory (I will be refreshing myself on those not worth wasting my time on and summarily blocking them after posting this), but it beats the alternative.
- This Fox news has changed much of what would have been the tenor of my thread, but again, it beats the alternative.
- I knew a while ago that the Spurs were Fox's preferred destination, I just didn't expect it to be until the off season. Paul/Fox making it public now is probably to give them an exclusive window in the hopes they break character one time.
- If/when, I expect the trade to be either Castle, Johnson, two "good" 1sts (Kings own returned) and one lesser one or Castle, Johnson, Collins and said draft capital for Fox, Huerter, Len.
- Even though Fox's reputation exceeds his impact analytically, it'd still be a no brainer. As arguably (Maxey) the fastest player in the league, he'd give them the lead creator they've lacked since Parker in '14 and as the clear second option, with superior spacing among their core lineup to the Kings, hopefully his efficiency would improve some.
- As far as the season in general, the surface stats point to marked progress, but a quick look under the hood says otherwise. This team is decent with Wembanyama on floor, but heavily reliant on Paul offensively and otherwise still terrible. There's been little in the way of development.
- Castle has been as I expected, which is to say a tricky fit since he's neither a lead creator or spacer. If they somehow botch a Fox trade, I could see Ingram (reputation also exceeds impact analytically) being an alternative as they'd need a wing who can create and space with a Castle-Vassell back court going forward.
