KJ is the x-factor. If he can score 20, we are unbeatable.

Looking forward to him being someone else's x-factor tbh. Hopefully this game raised his value

I realize it was garbage time when he was in, but Wesley was a frigging beast when he was in. He played 4 minutes and had half of the team’s 8 steals.

They are going back to the pace they were playing at last year and not being shit at it. The bench lineup also has extremes of being a disaster or being good, better than what we are running since Wemby arrived.

Great win, no doubt!
Couple of things that were anomalies in contrast to recent games:
- Turnovers have been killing them. Impressive taking care of the ball last night.
- Everyone seemed to understand their role on both sides of the ball. That's an essential part of winning and has missing of late (if not all season), especially on offense.
If these 2 aspects continue to carry over, we could win some games.

Spurs acting like a bunch of 13 year old's who won their first game. Piling on at the end and going nuts.
Maturity is what this team lacks the most. I know they're young. But, if Castle can act and play like a grown up and professional...the rest can.
Coaching. We really don't have any.

Great win! Few TOs and good D. Good to see several players making their shots.

Giannis acted like a jerk per par. Does he whine like that all the time. Still going at Paul after the game.
Sochan did a great job on Lillard. He was very effective with going over the screen and containing Damian.

At this point Giannis to Wemby reminds of KG to Tim Duncan

Spurs score 140 plus only 4 turnovers. Glad the Bucks didn’t show up to play any D. Needed the win.

Tbh, if CP3 wasn't on our team most of you would be saying that was a cheap shot.
Yeah, Giannis runs people over, but that's on refs to call. CP3 clearly pushed him from behind.

You know expectations are low when Vassell gets a B for simply "not hurting the team" :lol

Giannis two-hand shoved Wemby from behind after his putback dunk in the third quarter.
Wouldn't surprise me if Paul saw that and returned the favor later on.

In my opinion, "push" is exaggerating. Yes, Paul had a hand on his hip, but I didn't see a forceful extension. Six-foot, 40-year old CP3 isn't powerful enough to send Giannis flying to the ground even if he was trying.
I think Giannis took exception to the trip, but he was also spinning around and barrelling into the lane like he always does so I don't think that was purposeful either.
Refs also reviewed it and called it a common foul, so...obviously they didn't see it either.
Giannis also got away with a bunch of bullshit of his own, throwing elbows and barrelling with his shoulder and hitting Wemby in the face...so he can just go ahead and shut the fuck up.

Chris Paul gets an A for trolling Giannis. I don’t normally condone non sense like that but Chris Paul is right up there with guys like Bowen and Brooks who you love when he is on your side but hate when he is against you.

I'm a Spurs fan, and I know that was a cheap shot. CP has been doing it all year. It's who he is.

CP3 has always been a dirty player. No point in trying to deny simply because he's spending a year with the Spurs.

I call that high-IQ play by CP3. Giannis has been bullying Wemby, tgrowing elbow, and staring down Wemby after a dunk. Giannis was mad because Wemby blocked him twice

This topic almost deserves a new thread. Some of these antics can really swing a game or a series (Robert Horry for instance)

It was time tbh.
Just imagine if we eliminate the defensive low IQ situations where they overhelp and leave the 3pts open or foul their guy in the paint in the paint when Wemby is on him etc
Next step, vocal vs PATFO.

Sochan did a great job on Lillard. He was very effective with going over the screen and containing Damian.
Sochan has quietly had a great defensive season. He doesn't produce stocks though and isn't a disruptive player. He just stays glued to them.

Reminds me a bit of Bruce Bowen when he's really locked in and the matchup is good for him. A bit, mind you.
- needs a corner 3 that's straight money
- needs to show he can guard larger opponents, including securing defensive rebounds and not just perimeter matchups consistently
- ball denial simply isn't in the same realm as Bowen, but few are
