This Doncic atomic bomb should absolutely rattle PATFO to the core..There are no guarantees in today's league. You have to go for it when you can..
Mavs thought they had another Dirk-type run and just like that they enter their own Aldridge-Derozan twilight :lol:lmao

That being said I would probably renounce my fandom if i were a Mavs fan :lol. This is just a sadistic, self-inflicted gut punch the like of which we haven't seen in the history of fanbase-franchise interactions..

Immediately went to Facebook to check on my Dallas-area friends... and this is exactly what they are doing :lol

At least we sent Kawhi to a glacial hemisphere and he rang in one the most irrelevant franchises in the NBA before turning into damaged goods shortly after and only for the Spurs to luck into the best prospect since LBJ 5 years later. It is all good on our side, tbh...Perfect definition of blessing in disguise...Meanwhile Mavs went to the Finals the year before (better than WCF); Luka is younger than Kawhi and his injury is less severe and yet they fuckin sent him to the league pet franchise with the most obnoxious fanbase. Like Robz4000 said in the other thread, this is will be looked at as franchise killing move for Dallas. No coming back from this..

Exactly why you never know what kind of ridiculousness that intervenes to end it all...Obviously this will go down as the mother of all self-inflicted wounds, nay, a front office harakiri..

A day later PATFO showing the right attitude with the Fox move :tu
I don't expect immediate contention, but it is good too see the Spurs finally changing gears by being more proactive in trying to put talent around Wemby and showing him that the time to start winning is now. It is the only logical approach once you you secure the ultimate building block. Slow-walking it with this much uncertainties and variables in the league carries its own risks in today's NBA.

I will put it on record here: i don't expect the Spurs to have a Duncan-era type of run with Wembanyama-- that is being a (ridiculously so) top 4 Championship contender in every season of Timmy's career bar maybe 2009-2011. However I would be happy if the Wemby era reaches a mighty peak where we clean up 2-3 titles with multiple, consecutive Finals trip so as to speak of a Second Spurs Dynasty.
