Wembanyama: Will probably start slow considering he won't be able to fully ramp up, but should resume march to the throne sooner than later.

Fox: Likely to receive 4 year max (30% of cap) and be medically cleared by June; no excuse to not revert to All-Star caliber form.

Paul: As was always going to be the case, 99.9% likely to depart. Job well done. Mavericks, Heat, Suns could be in market for inexpensive stopgap starter.

Vassell: At this writing, won't need an off season surgery; should hit the ground running, play more of his more natural SG, so no excuse to not reestablish himself as solid starter.

Sochan: Will probably be extended on the eve of the season (4/$70-80Mish?) and replace Paul as starter by default given his superior fit with them.

Barnes: Barring an unlikely trade for Durant, almost assuredly remains and given hand in glove on/off court fit, a stealth extension candidate (2/MLE equivalent?).

Castle: Given roster construction, likely to serve in Ginobili like role as 6th man combo guard, with path to closing regularly. Needs to improve efficiency.

Johnson: If a trade for a starter caliber shooting forward or big occurs, likely to be involved. No longer fits on roster.

Champagnie: Not the "laser" they need nor a stopper, but solid enough, still youngish and inexpensive. Unless part of package for upgrade like Cam Johnson, not going anywhere.

Bassey: If a C is drafted, almost certainly won't be retained because either way, primary backup C addition is virtual lock.

Biyombo: See Paul, with difference being his NBA career could be over. Not good enough for primary backup and they'll likely prefer a younger/developmental third C.

Mamukelashvili: Highly unlikely to be back. Will probably end up on a good team, where his strong metrics carry over and Spurs are made to look like fools.

Wesley: Unless needed salary ballast in trade, likely to be retained as deep bench depth. Same as it ever was: needs a functional 3 to graduate from replacement player.

Branham: Seemingly on outs and might request trade, depending on how draft shakes out. Otherwise, could move back up a rung with Paul out of picture.

McLaughlin: Given back court depth unlikely to be significant priority and solid fit, has a puncher's chance to be re-signed (1/veteran's minimum).

Minix: Due to need for shooting + forward depth, likely to be retained.

Ingram: Flip a coin. How draft shakes out + Summer League likely to tell tale.

Duke Jr: Almost certainly no longer two-way eligible, so either gets promoted to standard or is gone. Latter is more likely.

If Vassell starts over Castle, I’m fucking rioting.

Right on cue :lol..34-point game. He was always better than DNP-CD evidenced by end of last season's play. Watch him become our own Zubac when the Lakers threw him away to the Clippers for Muscala..
