Dead at 65. What a career.

Really had a tough go on the back half of his life. His documentary hit me right in the feels.

Rest easy Doc

Damn don't know if I want to see it after how bad he looked in Top Gun 2.

He had throat cancer IRL but that's not what he was dying of, he was just an addict and sickly in general, he got cured of the cancer but his immune system was very weakened by his habits and he ended up dying of pneumonia from a pretty simple cold or flu.

Took a look today. It was good but disheveled.

Highlight is toward the last when he appears for an autograph signing event. It's all there in a lengthy sequence.

Insights into his films was at turn sketchy & thorough.
