That’s freaking embarrassing. Having a legend like Paul, even though he’s way past his prime and still kiss the PO 6 straight is just terrible. It’s like the lakers missing six straight from 14 to 19 with Kobe leading the helm. Well, at least paul wasn’t leading helm, and well, the spurs never lost 65 games in a season like those lakers did, but point still stand.
Things are looking up though, Vassell is just as good as end of prime kobe. Similar efficiency, similar defence. More wins

My bad. But whenever I see 6 straight playoff losses I think of kobe. The best player to miss the playoffs six years in a row. Also the best player to ever miss the playoffs b2b in his prime. True legend.

I was just checkin' assholes, amb, you came immediately to mind.
So you didn't achieve a triple, nor a double.
You did me square. I'm grateful to ya's for blocking the Suns when the Lakers weren't able to. Without your Spurs they'd a rung at least once, perhaps twice even.

Pondering and doing are two different things. We also had Republicans try tariffs and fail. I’m not a Democrat I’m an independent and “the magic negro” is irrelevant here. Trump won Kamala lost, remember?
Why do so many Republicans point to the other side when pressed on issues?
He has the office, the majority in Congress and a conservative SCOTUS. He has power that we haven’t seen in decades and this time he won the popular vote. Plus he has the richest men in America backing him, I just pray he uses it wisely …
So far, it looks shaky.
Just stating the facts.
No need to get defensive, carry on.

I have serious issues understanding the logic behind it. But your governemnt says it’s gonna work because the other economies will simply decide to lose money and ship stuff to Americans even though they had been “ripping off” america for decades. Not to pour water over your bon fire, but I just can’t see it working. Unless there is something in play by the government that hasn’t been revealed yet then it would be hard to see this working.
If the tariffs work and help move manufacturing back to the us, then the revenues from the tariffs will drop significantly, which also means the cost of goods will go up because the costs of goods is now only affordable due to artificially raising the costs from other countries. Which means that ultimately that revenue is being paid by the American citizen to pay big corporations and billionaires, who have accountants to pay way less taxes than they should. Which means that the revenue doesn’t go up much and the only way to balance the budget is to make cuts, which affects the types of services citizens will get from their tax dollars. Wages will likely go up because now there are more manufacturing jobs, but inflation will eat into those wage gains.
So to summarize, ability to purchase is the same or worse, but savings will depreciate because of inflation. Billionaires get more money, public services decrease. Or net net, services decrease to go into billionaire pockets.
So unless you are a billionaire, good luck.

Because the D's taught us, in particularly taught Trump that tact. And Trump, not being a politician & not a member of the closed circuit decided he'd ram it back down their throats on this last go round. I have no problem with that approach. They asked for it and I'd give it to them till they dragged me away.

Trump is president not Kamala not Biden and Obama been gone for almost a decade …

I’m An independent not a Democrat and though I did not vote for Trump he is OUR president.

I’m still waiting for America to get great again, but it’s early but not looking promising.
If he can’t make this work, again still early - I dint want any excuses at the end of this term.
The reclaiming of those borderlands and immigration is smoke and mirrors most Americans are expecting economic growth more jobs etc like he promised

Trump is punishing the other side: Obama, Biden, Harris for their trespasses against him because Trump heartily believes he's been wronged. So, he calls them out for their transgressions and has advised his Cabinet to do likewise every chance they are presented with, or, else.
I don't blame him. He's enraged at how's he's been treated for the past 10 years and understands fully why he's been outcast. For the simple reason is that he is not part of the closed circuit of Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama/Clin...whoops there is the bug-a-boo...Trump coming in and beating Hillary when that 8 year term had been preordained as Hillary's 8 years after Obama had taken her original 8 year term. "You'll have the next 8, Hillary, + you'll be my SoS with no buffer between in the interim. Deal?"
"Fine, it's a deal." - Hillary Clinton
Here comes smart ass Trump off the New York street and they weren't gonna have it. "Let's just tear the country up and apart while he is President and then when he leaves we'll put it back together and continue with regular programming for the remainder of our lives. Go!"
He ain't stupid and realizes precisely what happened. Most men woulda just given up and lived the rest of their 10 years on earth in peace. Not him. He ran again. They tried to jail him and that didn't work. Then they shot him and that didn't work. They shot at him again, missed, and that didn't work.
He dropped Biden like the proverbial bad habit at the Debate then hunted down Harris and cleaned her clock November 5th last.
He's blood drunk now, Killa. You can't get that close to having your head blown off and remain sane. No. He wants vengeance every day that ends in (y). I don't blame him.
God's speed.

Totally making shit up again. Like how the media was against the lakers and garbage like that. Trump came out blazing against the dems before he even threw his hat in the ring. You acted like you were the only person alive in the 80s about that lakers and media thing, and at least that was something that happened 40 years ago. So factoring in childhood memories I’d say you may have been able to get away with most posters here as you’d reasonably have to be 50+ to have any memory of how the media was treating the lakers. So you made shit up and tried to get away with it. Fine.
With trump and Obama, that was 8 years ago, 16 if you want to push it back to Barack’s first term. What do you expect? We are all <20 years old on this site? It’s hilarious you are trying to pull this obvious made up tripe and trying to get away with it.

You mean how the US economy was absolutely red hit by 2024? How employment was high, manufacturing investment was
Going through the roof?
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/tags/series?t=investment%3Bmanufacturing%3Busa
At the same time inflation, which was previously driven by a gang busters economy with a severe shortage of manufacturing from around the globe and supply chain issues due to covid, was finally under control.
https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/inflation-cpi
But no, people were not voting on the economy, because the economy under Biden cannot be much better, the US was booming and inflation was finally in check, people are voting on something else.
