I can't understand what he was saying back to them. Did the Knicks fans start it by talking shit to him first and the he tried to respond before getting dropped?

That’s a fucked up sucker punch man.
You can change someone’s life like that if they are out before they hit the ground then they smack there head on concrete.
Hopefully they find that guy and Spurs fan presses charges.

Doubt it
That Spur fan looked to be alone. Probably doesn't even remember anything before the punch. The puncher just quickly left.
Not smart to be getting into a shouting match with street thugs in New York City.

I love sports but people forget you are in envy of and celebrating someone elses athletic accomplishments. Getting personal and violent over that is pure idiocy.

Poor kid. Surrounded by hostile Knicks fans, probably worried if it happened once, it could happen many more times with that mob. Probably right, hope he’s ok (and presses charges, it’s on video).

I can see getting worked up when opposing fans talk shit about a team/player/s that means something to you. Even if you don't personally know them, can still get you worked up over it.
I don't know how it is in Europe as I've never been to a Football/soccer game, but from the outside looking in, it seems like fans really get worked up over there if you talk shit about their team, and would be willing to throw down at any time ;).
If that video was real, the guy really seemed out of it as I couldn't see if he picked up his glasses (maybe he did and it was off camera, but if not, he really got rocked).

People are saying he was responding with the names of soccer clubs and was uneven talking about the Spurs at the end

He was. Those were all soccer clubs. Arsenal, Chelsea, and West Ham are all Premier League teams. He finishes with "Go Tottenham baby!", referring to Tottenham Hotspur aka Spurs. No idea why dude got decked other than New Yorkers are assholes.

Sad. He seemed a little bit like a man child, which just makes it sadder. That's ugly.

That's why he got hit. If it looked like he could put up a fight the coward wouldn't have touched him.

I just re-watched it now that you told me what he was saying, I don't know why the other guy knocked him down. I was trying to listen for disses on Knicks players names since the other NY fan was saying F Duncan, F Ginobili etc., I thought he fired back with Knicks players or at least someone for NY sporting teams. He didn't really say anything that warranted getting dropped.

With today's technology they will be able to find out who that guy is simply because he was on video.
