So I dont follow the league that closely anymore but.. considering last nights events with spurs moving up and tatum likely suffering a major injury, does that open the possibility for the spurs to make a move for white? weve been needing defense and shooting for years now, seems like he is the perfect target
If the objective is Giannis, seems like shooting would be even more necessary than it is now, and a guy like castle just wouldnt be on the same timeline.. IDK, like i said i dont follow the league enough to know contracts, bidding competition etc but i think even without giannis white would be an excellent target..
also like the idea of targeting players from WC rivals, like say Joe or wallace from OKC, though that would probably be more difficult to pull off

I kind of like the low-key idea of targeting Kornet to play at center, if we're targeting anybody on the Celtics.

I agree that the injury will put pressure on Boston to shed salary to get under the cap for next year while he rehabs. White might be available, but what kind of package are you proposing that accomplishes this and helps Boston shed salary?

Good idea, we need more guards, maybe can consolidate our glut of quality forwards in a trade.

we got our 3 guard rotation. We need 3 forwards and a back up C. No more guards.

If the Spurs had stayed at #8 and #14 I would be all in on bringing Derrick back as obviously the Celtics are going to be dumping salary now with no shot at ringing next year. But with the Harper pick no need now unless they trade him for say TMIII.

I don't think they'll trade Derrick, they won't be bottoming out, just retooling.
Porzingis and Jrue are surely gone, maybe Hauser (a player I wouldn't mind having here), I don't think anyone offers enough for Brown.
Horford and Kornet will walk, solid veteran bigs.

Nah, we're set on Guards.
I can see Houston trying to go after him. They have the picks to entice Boston into parting with him, but making the salaries work would be a bit tricky. They might need a 3rd team if Houston intends to keep Reed/Jabari/Cam.
And Ime loves White.

I can see Horford signing for a little as Celtic can afford.
How are they gonna dump Jrue contract - I dont know.

As long as Boston sucks by 2028 I'll be happy.
