The list could go on... but I tried to stick to bigger stars. The Spurs list of past-their-prime greats is just too long to list

Butler (RIP) was robbed in 2016. Deserved to be on the team the entire year.

Remember when we traded for Nick Van Exel in the 90's. Pop loved doing that but it never worked out if they were truly washed.

Al Horford for a year would be a decent addition. Can share the court with Wemby and is still productive.

Some kind of more PF minutes are the gap - Horford is old, he might age like milk, but he was still good last year.
As we need both that, and I think adding some professionalism and experience to the locker room is useful - A decent level 10th man, adding the kind of locker room leader role that James Johnson (presumably) played for the Pacers, or Udonis Haslem played for the Heat, or...
Lyles / Boucher etc might be a step ahead in actual on court value, but adding Horford is probably useful for both on and off court considerations.

As much as I would like for the spurs to bring someone new in, odds are that they will probably just bring one of Bassey or Biyombo back and keep the last spot open just in case someone better from another team gets cut in preseason.

I wonder if they have something cooking or why they don't just bring Bassey back?
Still hope Horford is a possibility.
Horford is Warriors bound

Olynyk could be good target if Spurs can't get Lopez or Capela in FA.
Something like Branham + Wesley + one or 2 second round pick should be way enough to get him from Wizards.

Kuminga is a dumbass.
Maybe...otherwise GS would have already signed him because of his obvious skills...the point is if he's dumbass enough to potentially become a real problem more than a beneficial player for our team.
The value of the player is undeniable like is imho his fit with our current roster...and, obviously always imho, he's never gonna have a so low market price )for the contract he can pretend and the assets GS could ask foer sending ius the player) like in this restricted free agent situation with a team like GS that obviously has no will to meet his asking price.
For example a sign and trade for Vassell (if his asking price is in the 25 millions range) or Barnes/KJ (if its in the 20 millions range) could be interesting also because in any case could guarantee us, if he become unsustainable 4 our team policy, a more than treadable piece for the coming years...

Vassell >>> Kuminga
I’m not even that much of a Vassell fan. It would honestly be better to let him roll off than tie up future cap needed for Castle and Harper in a contract for Kuminga. He’s yesterday’s news, two years ago’s news. Both Harper and Castle still have massive more amounts of potential than Kuminga. By this point in one’s career, you pretty much are what you are ever going to be. Forget about Kuminga. We have much brighter prospects on board now. No need to go through Golden State’s dumpster.
