For me to articulate a summation is hard, for me particularly. I'm not good with my words as seen over the past 15 yrs here on ST, LOL.

I'd say, reading Biology and Marxism, is pretty easy to do and in a timely matter seeing how it's some 200-250 pages. As well, with anything remotely Marxist in print, it's an easy read for me as I practice the bs skill of chunking words and the way the book is written it does the chunking for me. It's why I use a bunch of unnecessary commas and I suppose commies do too, LOL.

Anyhow, the first half or so chapters peaked my interest more with relation to Marx and Engels. The last half was more biological examples, nature vs external conditions, dialectical theory/practice pertaining to teleology, materialism, vitalism, and more.

I will say, this book, though easy to read, lost me at times because Biology and Marxism aren't really my subject of interest. I read technical books most often but will venture into other subjects to better understand the rationalization of thought coming from said subjects. History is a subject I do admire and Marx, for better or worse, is and will always be a part of history and one to study regardless of ideology or opinion.

I'm the wrong person to ask because I've never even seen myself as any such category, Darwinian or otherwise. I simply "studied" Darwin as a youth and didn't think twice of his theory and never truly questioned it scientifically. I don't think very deep when it comes to a subject like Biology, Evolution, et al.

As well, I read Biology and Marxism for the hell of it and not because Biology or Marxism is of interest to me, though Marxism is something I read up on; again, to get a better understanding of the rationalization of those who subscribe to such ideologies. I do the same with movies, I pick a year and watch whatever pops up.
