Earlier this morning I was listening to the Laura Ingraham show and she was talking to a marine over in Iraq. His name is Sgt. Josh Houser and he was great. He talked about all the good things happening in Iraq and how the guys who are on their 2nd and 3rd deployments talk about how much things have improved over time.

But his closing line was the best! After he wished his wife and children Merry Christmas he said "This year, Santa is wearing desert camoflage and delivering freedom to the people of Iraq."

God Bless this young marine and the thousands more like him!!!

Oh, Gee!!

He should have said Happy Holidays.

The great dimm-o-crapic way. Cut and Run. You know like Dean
and Murtha and others on this board. Some may call them cowards, me
among them. Oh, I forgot they now want to call it "strategic withdrawal"
I believe the phrase is. Or is this just more republican spin. Like you know
to Kuwait and Okinawa..

Like when the terriorist blow up buses and take hostage those who are
there supporting their cause. Goes to show you the types the U.S.
are slowly but surely defeating. Of do you think this was the work of
our people?

The pictures are of a very tiny fraction of the thousands of Iraqi Civilian Victims who have been terrorised, humiliated, injured, maimed and killed through British and American Bombing of civilian areas in various cities of Iraq.

Why am I not surprised at your dumbass response. Only the Americans
and British do terrible things. You are so damn juvenile.

My response was the caption from the pictures, I posted it because you asked about who caused those injuries. Or at least I thought you were asking. It was hard to understand your post.

Also, I have never stated that only the British or Americans do terrible things, but nice straw man anyway.

I was merely bringing a little realism to the pep rally about Santa wearing desert camos and giving out freedom.

Sorry if the truth isn't as "feel-good" as slogans or catch phrases.

The purpose of this thread was to spread a little good news and give thanks to our men and women fighting this war.

Mr. Peabody - you just had to piss all over it with those pictures. No one doubts that there have terrible civilian casualties in this war; however, the price of freedom is very high and sometimes innocents get hurt. BUT, if the terrorists had not come from all over the world to fight the "great satan", Iraq would be much better off and our soldiers and marines could be spending more time rebuilding instead of fighting the terrorists.

AND, where are all the pictures of the atrocities that Saddam committed during his reign of terror?

Nobody in this forum has said that our military is not superior in strength. In fact, they could probably kick the ass of any country. That fact that we could doesn't mean that we should.

What's up with you and xray constantly restating and misconstruing arguments? I guess it's easier to win an argument when you speak for the opponent as well. :rolleyes

Nobody is saying we can't win. We can probably win wars with every country, but at what cost? Some reasons for going into war are better than others.

Be careful, you might be accused of rationality or something.

God forbid we substitute actual thinking for dogma and slander.
