Artis Gilmore or Nazr Mohammed?

I can remember back in the day that John Anderson would hide a little packet of stick-um under A-Train's wrist band. Right before the game started, he would snip a little hole in it so that Gilmore could squeeze a bit out from time to time. Didn't seem to help!

Worst Hands?

My woman's hands when it's 20 degrees outside. Rather stimulative.

Nazr. Hands down. :lol

Nazr. Hands down. :lol

Maybe that is the problem!

I wish there was a stat that measured fumbled drop off passes from a slashing guard, followed by a three pump fake minimum. Nazr would lead the league!

I'll go with Malik Rose. Or Patrolman Polynice.

Artis had a very strong grip, once he caught the ball. It sounds like you are old school, so do you remember when Artis broke Adrian Dantley's wrist? As I remember it, Adrian tried to pull the ball away from Gilmore and Gilmore pulled the ball away and with his strength, <snap>!

Nazr's problem is also attributed to on-court awareness.... though to his credit Manu is one hell of a creative passer and causes that problem even for guys with 'good' hands like Horry or Duncan....

Many times Nazr drops passes simply because he isn't aware that they are coming....

Artis had a very strong grip, once he caught the ball.

Therein lies the rub. He had such massive hands, that once he got it secured, it was his. But that time between the pass and the catch was always a nail-biter.

I loved his slo-mo up and under move; never failed to get the foul. And I loved the way that he shot free throws, with his hands held real high.

Im not that old school so the only ones I know that have worst hands are Nazr and Malik, they are about equal in bad hands to me.

The worst hands I've ever seen are Jake Tsakalidis'. The guys a wall, literally. Horrible at anything reguarding the ball. Can't catch, shoot, rebounds... nothing.

7-2, 270 pounds and he's got numbers comparable to Diop, despite actual skill. Good post moves, solid defensive insticts, just no ability with the ball whatsoever...

I am not so much "old" as I have fond old school memories from the teams back in the mid-80's when I worked for the organization.

If you you worked for the organization in the 80s, "you old".

I was in high school at the time, so am I really that old? I do admit to wearing Stocktons, knee high socks and Air Force I's when they first came out. Wait, I guess that I am old!

Nazr. Hands down. :lol

I agree, except it should be "thumbs down".

Malik's hands aren't even close to being as bad as Nazr's.

ohhhh yeah they were.

Malik would drop easier passes than what Nazr has dropped.

Chuck Person had some pretty damn bad hands too.

There was a reason Perdue nicknamed him Lobster Claws.

Kwame Brown - near 7 footer with the proproptional hands of a midget.

Shawn Bradley is the worst. I have to agree that Sidney Green had the worst hands in Spurs history. The only reason Nazr appears to have such bad hands is, frankly, because the Spurs' other center has really good hands. If Nazr could learn to control his feet his turnovers would almost dry up.

Why have we seemed to have completely forgotten Kevin Willis, the 7-footer who could not even palm a basketball?

Obstructed_View

Because Kevin Willis was Lynn Swann compared to Sidney.

Nazr's good at reverse layups...except when he tries the same motion and spin when they are not reverse layups. :smokin
