Because it's an NBA team, and you have to do more than show up to win.

Pistons < Spurs
12-10-2005, 09:30 PM
it happens. same thing happened to the Pistons last year.

Dam, Atlanta gonna have about 25 wins this year. We are gonna have about 66. This will be the most points we do not cover by I think

I know we are a great team but what a joke this was. This was a typical we are the Spurs they are the Hawks we don't actually have to try and win the game type of effort. The energy sucked the whole second half just awful embarassing loss.

1Parker1
12-10-2005, 09:31 PM
So basically, what we've learned tonight is that if Tim Duncan has a bad game, Tony Parker badly runs our offense, and if our bench combines for under 25 points, then lowly teams such as the Hawks may just kick our asses?

The Pistons really have nothing to worry about- this Spurs team is not that good and won't be until Pop realizes that Manu Ginobili is the star and not C-Webb 2k6

Yet when Timmy plays like the MVP Walton is no where to be found! :lol

Good thing this wasn't a vbookie on who wins, because we all would have gone all in on Spurs over Hawks......

and if there was one, we would all be dead broke.

There's a positive

1Parker1
12-10-2005, 09:38 PM
They do it every single, freaking year. Why are Spurs fans still shocked when the Spurs put in a no energy, low effort against lottery teams?

If I remember correctly, the Jazz OWNED the Spurs last year. But the Spurs were the ones that moved on to bigger and better things.

It's only the 20th game of the season. It sucks big time I know, but hopefully this will motivate the Spurs to kick some Clippers ass.

mikejones99
12-10-2005, 09:38 PM
Jesus christ, If we were in Michigan we would have to go outside and start a fire. Goddam, 3 or 4 times a year big upsets happen. Denver could beat the Colts too.

T Park
12-10-2005, 09:38 PM
Spurs lost to Atlanta two years ago.

Did that derail them?

Oh yeah they had the best record in the league and won the championship.

But according to Walton and other geniuses its a typical Duncan night.

I'm actually very surprised at the Spurs tonight. It's not often that Tim, Tony, AND Manu all play so crappy. Usually, one of the three has a good game and someone from our bench steps up.

Tonight, not a single player on our roster stepped up in the 4th quarter.

Oh well, Bring on the Clippers!!! :elephant

Finley sucked offensively, I believe he went 4-11 according to the box score. But on the bright side he did have 6 assists. Don't let Tony and Manu's 20 and 17 points fool you...they choked in the 4th with waaaaaaaaay too many TO's.

Dang, I know this is only one loss. I know this is only Dec. But I have to go to work and church tomorrow. There are NO Spurs fans within miles of me! All Lakers, Pistons, Pacers, Mavs fans around me. How do I explain this loss?

All I can say is the next team we play dont stand a chance. We always play better the game after a loss and Im sure Duncan will take this loss personally.

As always, GO SPURS GO!

mikejones99

The Spurs should have 4 all stars and 66 wins this year. Most likely Spurs will play Indiana, Detroit or Miami if we beat phoenix or Dallas in the west.

Dont sweat it, every year before this one Detroit always found a buster team to lose to but there is nothing in the NBA that says you cant lose against the Hawks in December and not win the title in June.

RandomGuy

heh you should if only to see what a lackluster performance looks like.

I will admit to not knowing enough technical crap about basketball to be able to analyse the loss, but (in jest) I think it is because my man Robert Horry didn't play enough.

we are going to fucking lose to the hawks

how the FUCK does a team with this roster lose to this team?cause their leader desides to sleep walk through the game and everyone else follows his lead. thanks Tim, next time you mail in a game could you let the coach know ahead of time?
