The Mavs host the Phoenix Suns at 7:30 tonight. That means Dirk Nowitzki has another meeting against his longtime friend, Suns point guard Steve Nash.

The Mavs went through last season facing Nash and the Suns, so Nowitzki said it's no longer odd playing against him.

"I think, at the beginning of last year, it was a little weird seeing him in that ugly orange uniform," Nowitzki said. "But we've all moved past that now.

"I think, once you see your friends more and more in other uniforms, you get used to it."

With no disrespect to the Mavs' point guards, Nowitzki said no one has provided him easier looks at the basket than Nash.

"He's always looking for an open teammate, always penetrating and kicking [the ball outside] and seeing the open guy," Nowitzki said. "That's why he's the best point guard out there.

"You see him make passes that you think are impossible. ... He used to get me at least three or four wide-open looks a game."

It was the exact same thing he said to Finley :lol

Perhaps he's forgetting about those "special edition" Mavs road unis - with dark blue trimmed in "puke" green. They've won these occassionally on nationally televised games.

Dirk is enormously classless, as the jersey example and this quote both show. This is just the latest example of a guy that continuously insults and disrespects other players. We all know Kwame Brown is no Kobe Bryant, but why be snobby and disrespectful about it? Why not give credit where credit is due? These are not the actions of a class act player.

We all know Nash is a better distributor of the ball, but that doesn't mean Dirk can just say it and diss his point guards. Classless. :td
