Multiple league sources claimed the Nets and Rockets discussed a deal involving Stromile Swift for Marc Jackson and a first-round pick, a deal that did not interest Houston. But the Nets are expected to intensify their quest as concern grows...

Stomile would be awesome next to Kidd. We'd see highlights of those two all the time on ESPN.

This is why I don't blame players for taking the money. Swift could have signed for 8 million per if he wanted to be a Net. He chose his hometown Rockets and a 5 million per contract instead. Hometown discount and now he gets shipped to a team for cheap.

True, but he doesn't have the feel for the game. No smarts, no instincts. All he has is his physical ability. He'll be better with New Jersey. Van Gundy needs skill... All swift has is athleticism...

Didn't we hear the same things about how wonderful Stromile would be when he got minutes in Houston? Kidd might create a lot of highlights, but Stromile has always produced a lot of highlights. What he's never produced is big-time play for the teams that pay him.
