Looks freaking sweet. I'll check it even though I was disappointed with the book.

Interesting casting. Big role for Audrey Tautou.

Anybody seen her in "Amélie"? It's one of the most creatives movies I've seen - they got robbed at the Oscars.

Downloaded it last night (Gotta love the HD version), looks pretty good and I enjoyed the book, but I thought "Angels And Demons" was a better read.

I'll wait for the DVD.

I haven't found the book at half-priced books yet.

Joe, look for "Angels and Demons" first. The main character in "DaVinci" is introduced there.

Is that the prequel?

Not really, the two books stand alone. "Angels" was written first and you're introduced to the main character there.

I have not read the book but something tells me I'm not going to like. Too much Catholic bashing with no facts to back it up (that's what I've been told by trusted friends who read it).

That is what I've heard too. But it makes for a good read from what I've been told. Catholic bashing aside.

I didn't read much catholic bashing when I read it. I'm as anti-religion as they come but I didn't find anything that people would find offensive. I think maybe it's the story that people have a problem with.

Perhaps your being anti-religion is why you wouldn't find it offensive?

I get offended but I think it is only natural but I do try to see things with an open mind but it is not always easy.

It's not just that...being raised catholic I didn't read any lines that said "Catholicism sucks ass." Or something to that affect in the book.

Like I said it's more the story and all that stuff that people have a problem with. You should read it...you'll be surprised.

Im a christian, and, if I didnt know that it was all made up, I wouldve believed some of it cause it supports it all SO DAMN WELL!!!

Just read the book with an open mind.

Dont take it personal its just a story.

Easily, EASILY my favorite book of all time.

Can't wait to see how Ronnie Howard and Tom Hanks, two of he best in the business, pull this off.

Should be fantastic.

I'll read it for the entertainment value.

To Kill A Mockingbird is still probably my favorite book.

Good ol' Atticus, Gregory Peck is one hell of an actor.
