I like all the players on the team. I just wish they wouldn't play like shit. It was painful to watch them looking so horrible, especially in the first half. Daniel Gibson is a badass and I hope he recovers. He will get his shit straight and lead us to some wins.

Basketball is funny though. In the pros & college so many teams make the playoffs that it is all about positioning & peaking at the right time. The worst team in the Big 12 can win the tourney & make the Big Dance. I guess that & upsets are the things that make March Madness so fun.

I am starting to wonder if the Horns weren't overrated in the preseason poll. I still think they will contend for the Big XII but they are getting worked so far.

They probably were overrated, but they were only down by 5 to Duke in the 2nd half, and it's been downhill from there. Hopefully they can pick up the pieces, Buckman will return, and they can take the Big 12.

Our play completely baffles me at this point. I didn't think we were deserving of the #2 ranking in the country, but after watching that horror show against Tenn. I don't know what to think. These are the main points I can come up with at this time, imo.

1. Daniel Gibson had better learn what the definition of a true PG is, because right now he looks like a 2 guard, not a PG. I got news for ya Daniel, you're too small to play the 2 spot in the NBA, you need to develop your PG skills. You need to sit down right now and start watching film of TJ Ford, he had some amazing PG skills.

2. Why is Lemarcus getting such limited touches in the block? He needs to get the ball, REGULARLY, in the post. I think he has big time talent, but if you can't get him the ball then he can't put his skills on display. I constantly see him posting up with good position, and the UT guards just look at him and then pass the ball around the perimeter.

3. Our defense SUCKS, giving up 90 plus points to Tenn.? Give me a fucking break! Barnes is a man-to-man coach, but this team is going to have to learn how to play some zone defense, they're simply not good enough to D up teams man-to-man.

4. If we continue to play like this, Memphis and Villanova are going to beat the ever loving shit out of us. Both teams have solid guard play, and if the guards for Tenn. exposed us like that, just think about Memphis and Nova, it could get real ugly.

5. Last part is, I know we're not this bad of a team. Barne's coached teams tend to start a little slow and then pick up the pace as the season progresses. I'm trying to stay optimistic about this team and their ability to improve as the season goes along.
