He has a foot injury that he's trying to play through, but he said yesterday (I believe) that's not the reason he's sucking -- he's just in a funk.
OK. He should be careful, maybe sit out a couple games...having Manu AND TD down at the same time would simply suck. Even if the Spurs lose some games, they can come back strong with a healthy TD and Manu.
It's hurting my fantasy team though......both manu and TD
T Park

we don't say that they suck, but you do expect that the Spurs beat a 500 team right
Of course.
But if they lose, im not gonna be totally dumbfounded and flabbergasted as to HOW they could.
They are a veteran team, its the second night after a tough long game the night before against a young athletic team thats had 2 days to prepare and it would make their season if they won.

Tim's injury is not something that is going to get better by sitting a couple games. It's a lingering injury that might (or might not) bothering him on and off for a few months.

Absolutely pathetic effort all around. I know Tim was struggling but he still needs to take more than 12 shots in a game. The intensity that I saw from him last night vanished.
BTW, wtf happened to Tim's bank shot? Ever since the WCF last year he just hasn't been able to hit them consistently if at all.

You keep saying 2 days. I'm not being a bitch, but they played Friday. They just had one day off. It's a normal schedule. It's not like they had considerable rest or prep time. The Spurs were just tired and unfocused and they got beat.

I wonder what the real reason is that Nazr sat out. I know that they just didn't want to give Oberto playing time. With Timmy struggling, I would have thought Nazr would have logged some time. I wonder if he's hurt or there are some other issues.

If you are surprised with this loss, you haven't been paying much attention this year. On the road, 2nd game of back-to-back. In all of their 2nd of b2bs, the Spurs start losing their zip at about the 3 minute mark of the 3rd quarter and spiral downward the rest of the way.
This was predictable.

Oh, if the Spurs lose, the bitching and the suicide jumps, oh how they will happen.
i simply said the pistons game could suck if the spurs don't wake up. i am not bitching about anything but the lack of effort. i highly doubt the pistons will come out flat for that game. the season doesn't rest on anything until the playoffs start. you really seem to be jumping on people for bitching the same way you did after a few games last playoffs, except you took it to another level. all i expect the spurs to do is play like they want to win the game, instead of going up 7 points and then playing not to lose.

I thought about that during this game too.
One positive thing is that Finley had another good game and is fitting in real well.
The Spurs didn't shoot that bad or play horrible defense, but they gave the Hornets 19 more shot attempts because of the turnovers and O boards. If you give up that many shots, you deserve to lose.
Oh well. They need to regroup and win the next two on this trip.

If Ginobili plays, the defense on transistion, and in the half court is alot better.

Pistons starters are playing essentially exactly the same MPG this season as they did throughout the 04/05 season. The Pistons didn't looke worn out in the 05 playoffs.
While the Pistons might not be emphacizing defense quite as much, their offense is much better and more open, 99 PPG vs 93 PPG last season.

Amen!
I'm not too worried about the coaching change. Due to our fast start, you could say that LB was actually holding us back....at least offensively. Chauncey is now the decision maker on this team. So far he's done a great job. I see no reason to assume that it will not continue.
Currently the starters are playing a little tiny bit less than they did last year. Consistency is the biggest issue w/ the bench, but it should only get better w/ more games. And Hunter should be back in a few weeks for us aswell!!!

It's really frustrating not to just lose every single back to back game played, but to lose them by double digits, and often times to clearly inferior teams. Age has got to be playing a sizeable role here. With Manu out as well, it really changes the dynamic of the team, as he usually gets the guys fired up and makes things happen. This injury/slump thing for TD is really messing us up too. I think once the two of them are healthy we will really start cruising, and nobody has a deeper team than us. And to all you guys ready to hand the title to the Pistons, like Kori said there are like 60 games left. You're crazy if you think that you can predict the outcome of the Finals on 1/4 of regular season games played. At least I know that the Spurs will be up for them on Xmas day... It's not a back to back, and they aren't a scrub team.

Not sure if this was posted yet but this was under the game notes from the AP recap.
Maybe we see him on this road trip?
San Antonio's Manu Ginobili missed his fourth straight game with a sprained right foot. Before the game, he was able to run up-and-down the length of the court while being timed. The Spurs had been 3-0 in his absence with wins by one point, two points and in overtime.

I'll weigh in on this one. No, the Pistons have not played an easy schedule. Before the season started the Pistons said the first 18 games would be the toughest part of the season primarily because 12 of them would be on the road including 2 west coast swings. We finished that at 15-3.
After the road game at Memphis we'll have played 14 of 22 on the road with 8 of those against teams from the western conference.
The good news is that after Memphis we'll play 8 of 9 at home and hopefully keep up the winning ways.
Six BTB's so far with two of the losses coming on the back end of them.
Edit: I see Kori and Jamstone already already clarified this, oh well. :lol
