View Full Version : Nazr - DNP/CD

With Tim Duncan struggling, it's unusual that Nazr didn't play tonight.

Maybe they wanted to rest him because it was back-to-back. (Though I don't know why -- he's not old and he doesn't play major minutes).

Or maybe, just maybe there's a deal involving him in the works and they don't want to risk him getting hurt.

Equally weird was rarely-seen Beno going in with 4:42 left and finishing the game.

some weird shit tonight, most of it unpleasant.

There was some logic to that though.
Pop was pissed at Tony getting stripped.

pop should have been more pissed at duncan
2 games in a row he did not get 10 rebounds or more after he gets 22 in one game
and duncan had 4 turnovers and tp had just one more

okay lets say if Nazr doesn't play the next games and if it would because a trade( lets hope not). but why would it happen?

i see no point in trading anybody right now

if there is a trade out there that improves your team you do it
if it does not make you better you do not

if he is injured why didn't they put him on the injury list? but they listed him as DNP/CD? i remember a certain ex-spur being put as DNP/CD

Kori Ellis

Maybe he is injured.

Maybe.

But I think if he was, then the announcers would have mentioned it at some point during the broadcast.

Either that or Pop didn't want to watch Nazr get blocked by every freakin no name nobody in the league...

If Pop really wanted to send a message, he would have sat Tim Duncan tonight and not Nazr Mohammed. Duncan was horrible, as he has been for the better part of the last three weeks. Tony Parker and Michael Finley were the only two guys that played like this was an NBA game.

Duncan needs to have a long look in the mirror.

Funny,

he wasnt horrible the last couple games that you didn't post in.

Coincidence???

nazr would not have made a difference, they might as well trade him and get something for him.

I agree that Tim Duncan has played weak these past few games. I don't know, but he shouldn't be. He is our franchise and needs to set the example. He obviousl does set the example over all, but lately he hasn't been the leader he needs to be.

I am sick of the back to back games excuse. There are a lot of people who make much less in one year than Tim does in a game that work back to back in one week. Does that mean these people can slack. There are times where I am not in the office and actually have to go to a house to either do landscaing, paint, and what not back to back, but I don't slack. Give me a break with that excuse.

No, maybe they're showcasing RASHO and the minutes they had slated for Nazr disappeared with all the small ball they've faced....

At this point in time, my money is on them holding on to Rasho for the forseeable future. Finally, after lo these many months, he is playing in the ballpark of his potential. My crystal ball is not telling me anything about Nazr at the moment.

Pop just does not want the best record before the allstar break so that he won't have to coach the west. leave it to AJ.....

and does not have cheap ass tvs in his restuarant to watch the spurs on

It would be OK if Malik were still here because the Eagles didn't play the Bears or the Bengals this year. Otherwise Mike or Nick would have had to kick his ass.

Timmy is a big Bears fan too. I remember him and Malik joking about Bears vs Eagles a couple of Media Days ago. :)

Oh...

It's too bad Malik's not on the team still, then. Kicking his ass together could have been a good team-building exercise for Tim and Mike.

Maybe a deal for Nazr is in the works. It really doesn't make sense if his contract ends after this year. Unless, it is to improve the team. Right now the Spurs need a good kick in the *** by Pop or Holt.

It would have to be a damn good deal to trade Nazr. I like Nazr on the team to keep Rasho honest. The threat of Nazr capable of being a starter keeps a fire lit under Rasho.
