Fin didn't shoot the ball again after about the 7 minute mark of the 3rd quarter.

He wasn't too on anyways.

His first bad game in a LONG time, so no hate on Fin.

Horry making his FTs wouldve helped.

Foulin Duncan out is as laughable as it was the last time he did in Denver.

The Parker shot shows hes still inexperienced, and suprising it was a total clear out.

Oh and Im sure Rasho is the goat for the night, so Im ready for trade, cut, waive, kill Rasho threads.

Even though when in there he played quite well.

If Barry or parker could rebound, after NESTEROVIC forced a Mo Williams missed shot, its totallly different.

he didnt, they didnt, oh well, move on to the Knicks, and take a swig of eggnog, its christmas and its just a freakin basketball game.

I don't know if it shows inexperience. It seems like that's what they drew up. If it was, then that's a mistake on the coaching staff.

So Pop shouldnt have let the second best player on the night for the team shoot the ball??

That makes sense.

I agree.

Van Exel shouldve bricked another three, or maybe Horry couldve.

Barry couldve done his drive to the basket pass in mid air to someone who has to jack up a bad shot.

A clear out for Parker was a good call, if you dont think so, Id love to know what youd draw up.

Finley hadn't made a shot the whole second half, so that wouldve been 1 HELL of a gamble.

Bogut owned many fouls that were not called. I swear every tip-in he got or rebound, he was pushing off on someone.

The one he DIDNT, was the one over Parker and Barry.

But, Bogut, if he doesn't have position, will push, or hold down his opponent to keep him from rebounding.

He did it to I think Mohammed or Rasho in the OT, where either one had a clear rebound.

Of course, that was where Williams got the board, and backed into Duncan for Duncan's 6th foul.

I doubt it. Rip landed on his shooting hand badly a few games ago, and ever since Mr. 51% FG has been bricking like crazy. Otherwise I would say yes (the Pistons should be pumped up).

Who knows, maybe they come out flat like they were all night tonight against the Blazers. Anything can happen.

Bad defensive set by the coaching staff. Without Tim in the game, you MUST play the out of bounds passer to prevent what ultimately happened. Hey, if they chuck it to a shooter and he hits one off a curl, I'm good with that. Lobbing a pass to the hoop is UNACCEPTABLE.

Yeah. That was a stupid play. Parker rarely shoots 3s and when he does, he hasn't made many. So I was wondering what tha hell he was doing shooting a 3 when he should of drove and shot it or passed it out for a wide open shot for NVE or Horry.

I agree. Bowen couldn't guard everyone. And they kept switching him from Redd to Simmons to Ford and even to Williams late. Today was a day they definitely missed Gino's D (as well as his offense). Hopefully he'll be healthy soon.

It was good to see Tim more aggressive today. But I'm going to guess that his foot his still bothering him a bit as there were some plays when he simply couldn't jump. Nazr had a good second half (a definite positive because he's been invisible for a few weeks).

It will be interesting to see how they come out against the Knicks tomorrow. I don't believe in "statement" games in December, but it's a "gut check" game to me.

Of course not...

That wasn't a missed rotation. Rasho has NO chance to get that pass. Kukoc is a hell of a passer, and if you don't bother him, he's going to MAKE that pass 99 times out of 100. Horry started to go play him, and was waved OFF. Good instincts, Rob. With 0.7, you must make that pass a bullseye. If he bobbles it, even for a split second, time's up. Pop made it easy for them.

If the team was 100% healthy, then yeah I could go for this.

But once again, this team was scrambling with lineups tonight.

This would bother me alot more, if Ginobili was playing.

Im slightly dissapointed in how Horry is playing though.

I'd say that Detroit game is going to be more of a statement game. I'm not big on statement games in December either though.

Finley's D isn't anywhere near Manu's

Of course it aint, hes a little older, and he was taught in a system, defense was a way to pass the time twiddling your thumbs waiting for the offensive sets.

He came from ALLAS. That should help you.

If he could start to play D like Barry has started to FINALLY this year, ill be happy.

But it takes time to beat into a player's head whos always been offense offense offense, that D is almost or more important.

Healthy or not, I think it's a gutcheck game. Remember last year in Golden State when Tim and Manu were out? That was a gutcheck game and Tony/The Spurs came thru. I think that needs to happen tomorrow just for the psychological factor of not losing three in a row.

Oh, Gee!!

A clear out for Parker where he drives to the basket would have been better IMO.

I'm still interested in knowing if it was drawn up as a 3 for Parker.

From the "Ask the Coach Segment" I don't think that Tony shot was especially drawn up. Coach Newman said the objective was to get the last possession . From what I gathered the ball was in Tony's hand and it was up to him to find the best shot.

I think that shot was badly done by Tony. But there never should have been a game to save.

That was a heck of a past by Kukoc. Rasho missed the deflection but he was in a precarious position- a foul call would have sent Bogut to the line and the outcome may very well have been the same.

Unfortunate loss all around. But these things happen. Next!

It was exactly like i said.

Pop looked at Tony and said "win the game"

he took a bad shot.

He won games last year.

It happens. Its life, shit happens.

We move on.

Focus on the Knicks.

I have to believe that they drew up something in the huddle.

I'll still wait for judgement to see if Pop/Ludden/someone says it.

Either way, the game wasn't lost because of that last shot. It was lost because Mo Williams went off and a variety of other things.

Oh well.

More basketball tomorrow.

4-11 in 21 mins tonight
0-5 in 12 mins against NOK
1-3 in 10 mins against Sac
1-6 in 12 mins against Minni

old and washed up
I said it before I'll say it again Nick needs to be saved for the playoffs
free Beno...at least he isnt over the hill
I can stand the losses but I cant stand the repeats of playing over the hill players like in 2001 and 2002 Terry Porter all over again

Chill out.you were willing to quit on the Spurs during the finals last year. I am pissed that Pop is delaying Beno's progress in favor of playing a washed up NVE. I dont give a shit about losses in Dec, but NVE sucks ass and Beno's development is getting stunted becuase Pop is again playing old ass players. It kinda remindes me of Pop staying with Terry Porter and costing us at least a game in the 2001 WCFs

Bring it or stay on the porch puppy.Instead of playing the younger players and saving Porter for the playoffs numbnuts...like what he does with the best players on the team for the last 3 years. It seems like Pop wants to resort to the Pop of 2001 and 2002 for some weird reason. Why is it so important that people dont want Beno to build on what he did last season? Can you really believe the bullshit press that Beno sucked in the playoffs last season? Go back to the video idiots, Beno played great against Denver, Seattle and Phoenix, so he got beat up a little against the Pistons, so the fuck what. The Spurs dont play the Pistons every fucking night.

If Beno really sucked dont you think the Spurs would have traded his ass. You assholes are such ESPN ball suckers. Always going for the ESPN highlights from 10 years ago instead of watching what is really in front of your eyes.

The Spurs won a championship with Beno at the back up point guard and havent won shit with NVE, but some act like NVE should be the starting PG, fuck you. Why are you so against developing the YOUNG talent, it seems to have worked pretty good for the Spurs so far

oh wait you have more post on this forum...you must be more of a fan, but then I attended games 6 and 7 of the finals last year while you quit after game 4

why is it so hard to understand that we should be playing young legs against young legs in the regulars season?

please someone explain to me how it HURTS the Spurs to develop young energentic players in our system in games (that dont mean much, like losses)

This game was lost because Rasho is a piece of shit. Duncan has his head up his ass. Pop has to much talent that he can't even decide who the fuck should be out there....

I swear, if I see fucking Beno in one more game, I am going to go off on Pop during the next Pop Show.

2 peas in a pod. Rasho and Beno fucking blow. Both of them, its in their blood, they are shitty and don't belong in black and silver.

If I owned this team, I would boot their asses with pay back to their country tomorrow.

Beno and Rasho wearing a Spurs jersey is more offensive than anything TO did to the Eagles...

They are just down right pieces of shit players.

No. 1 overall pick forces OT en route to scoring game-winner
Andrew Bogut had the biggest moment of his NBA career.

The No. 1 pick in the 2005 draft made a fadeaway jumper as time expired to give the Milwaukee Bucks a 109-107 overtime victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night.

Bogut also scored the tying basket with 14 seconds left in overtime and finished with 19 points, including five in overtime. He added nine rebounds, seven offensive, and two blocked shots.

"I've never had a buzzer-beating game-winner, but to do it in the NBA against the world champions is a great feeling," Bogut said. "The guy I've always looked up to is Tim Duncan. So, to do this against his team is a great feeling for me."

Maurice Williams scored 28 points and Michael Redd added 20 for the Bucks, who had lost six of their last seven games against the Spurs.

Duncan had a season-high 34 points on 15-of-28 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds before fouling out with 22 seconds left in overtime. Tony Parker added 22 points and Nazr Mohammed 11 in the defending champion Spurs' second straight loss.

Duncan, a two-time MVP, scored 11 points against New Orleans on Sunday, but made his first six shots Tuesday. He had 18 points in the first half, helping the Spurs build a 14-point lead late in the second quarter.

"Once he was gone, the guys didn't really flow in their offense as much," Bogut said. "There was a lot of pressure on Parker and (Robert) Horry and those guys, and that really helped us."

San Antonio has dropped three of its last four on the road after losing just two of its first nine away from the SBC Center.

The Spurs took a four-point lead early in overtime, but Williams' free throw after Duncan fouled out cut it to 106-105. Horry gave the Spurs a two-point lead with one free throw with 20 seconds left before the Bucks tied it at 107 on Bogut's follow shot 6 seconds later.

"Andrew Bogut hurt us more than anybody did," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "He consistently went to the offensive boards and converted. He made a good physical play at the end and won the game for them."

Parker worked the clock and took a 3-pointer that bounced over the backboard, giving the Bucks the ball with 0.7 seconds left. After a Bucks timeout, Toni Kukoc inbounded to Bogut, who caught the long pass and scored as time expired. A review of the play showed the basket was good.

"He did a great job on the offensive glass, made some big baskets for them and showed some great touch right around the basket," Duncan said of Bogut.

Asked if the winning play had a name, Bogut said that it was just something first-year coach Terry Stotts drew up during the timeout.

"It's not one of those plays you can't really practice," Bogut said. "It just worked out."

Duncan tied the game at 100 with a 5-foot hook shot with 9.3 seconds left in regulation. The Bucks called time and Redd inbounded to Williams, who worked the clock down and missed from the top of the key, sending the game into overtime.

The game featured two first-round picks facing each other for the second time.

Bogut, from Melbourne, Australia, and Duncan, the No. 1 pick in the 1997 NBA draft, played against each other in the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Bogut's Australian team led the United States before the Americans outscored Australia 24-12 in the fourth quarter and won 89-79.

Game notes
Spurs F Bruce Bowen set the Spurs' career record for consecutive games played at 297 when he started against the Bucks. He had been tied with Avery Johnson. ...

Bucks F Bobby Simmons returned after missing four games with a right shoulder contusion. ... "Nick, I heard you the first time," referee Bob Delaney told the Spurs Nick Van Exel who went to the bench after being called for his second foul. ... The Bucks improved to 12-1 when scoring 100 or more points.
